We’re excited to introduce Jack, one of the friendly faces here at Equal Opportunities Support Services! 💜🧡

Jack brings a genuine passion for helping others and loves creating positive connections with the people he supports. His friendly nature, easy-going personality, and willingness to lend a hand make him someone participants quickly feel comfortable around.

Outside of support work, Jack enjoys all things sport—especially basketball and AFL—and likes to unwind with a game or two in his spare time.

For Jack, the most rewarding part of support work is meeting people from all walks of life and knowing he’s helping make a real difference. Whether it’s building confidence, supporting independence, or simply sharing a laugh, he’s committed to helping participants live life on their own terms.

Hi, I’m Ben!

I’m passionate about supporting people to achieve their goals and live life to the fullest. I enjoy building genuine connections and creating a positive, encouraging environment where people feel respected, valued, and supported.

A little about me:

When I’m not at work, I enjoy going on road trips, playing and watching sports, and meeting new people. I love getting out, exploring new places, and making the most of every opportunity to connect with others.

Why I chose support work:

I joined the disability support industry because I genuinely enjoy helping others achieve their aspirations. Being able to support people as they work towards their goals and celebrate their successes is something I find incredibly rewarding.

What I enjoy most about support work:

The best part about working in support is knowing that I’m making a positive difference in someone’s life. Being able to assist people when they need it most and seeing the impact that support can have is what motivates me every day.

Autism Workshop

Positive Partnerships is running a FREE government-funded autism workshop for parents/carers in Brighton on Tuesday, 16th June, 2026.

This workshop is for parents, unpaid carers, grandparents and kinship carers to learn about autism and ways to strengthen the partnership between home and school. (Please note: your child does not need a formal diagnosis for you to attend.)

Date: Tuesday 16th June, 2026

Time: 9.00 a.m. - 2.45 p.m.

Location: Robins Nest Restaurant & Function Centre, 325 Brighton Road, Pontville, Tas, 7030

The workshop will cover the following topics:

Diversity of autism
Understanding sensory processing
Working together.

Today we pause to honour and remember those who served and sacrificed for our country.

We pay our respects to all current and former service men and women, and acknowledge the courage, resilience, and sacrifice of the ANZACs.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Lest we forget.
