Getting a good start to life in developing healthy habits early is critical for a healthy adulthood and healthy ageing. Keeping ourselves healthier for longer and managing ou

r risk of chronic disease is an integral part of living happy, productive and fulfilled lives. The plan aims to help people become more aware, interested, engaged and more in control of their own health and wellbeing. It fosters community connectedness by bringing people together to support each other toward better health. TERMS OF USE

The Health Revolution, Tasmania’s bold new 20-year preventive health strategy is now live.

It represents the next exciting chapter in prevention in Tasmania and replaces the previous Healthy Tasmania Five-Year Strategic Plan 2022–2026.

The Health Revolution is about Tasmania revolutionising the way we look at health and wellbeing and making a choice as one united state: that life is to be lived to the fullest, and every Tasmanian should have the best possible opportunity to do that.

The Tasmanian Government has committed dedicated funding for this significant body of work, with $5 million a year over the next four years to support implementation.

The wonderful work established through Healthy Tasmania has provided a strong foundation to build The Health Revolution on.

Healthy Tasmania formally ended on 30 June 2026, and this page will close shortly. Important information and updates will be available through:

🚨 Tasmania’s Health Revolution starts now!

The Health Revolution, Tasmania’s bold new 20-year preventive health strategy, has launched today.

With one of the longest preventive health strategies in the world, Tasmania is stepping up, thinking big and helping lead the way on preventive health.

The Health Revolution is about the future we want for our state: one where more Tasmanians can live well, stay well and have the support they need to live life to the fullest.

Because the best health system is not only one that treats people when they become unwell. It is one that helps people stay well in the first place.

What’s happening first?

The Health Revolution has launched alongside Action Plan 1: 2026–2030, which sets out the first steps for bringing the Strategy to life.

Action Plan 1 will get things started by building the foundations for long-term change and supporting practical action across Tasmania.

This is not just a government plan. It is for all Tasmanians.

Almost 6,000 people helped shape the Strategy through consultation, sharing their views, experiences and hopes for a healthier Tasmania.

Today is a launch, but it is also an invitation: to keep working together, to keep thinking beyond the health system, and to keep building a Tasmania where living well is supported from the start.

📢 Get involved, spread the word, and be part of the change.
