Most running injuries don’t appear out of nowhere. They start as a ni**le you decide to run through.

With Point to Pinnacle still a few months away, now is the ideal time to deal with anything that’s been nagging. Knee pain on the downhills, calf tightness that won’t warm out, shin soreness creeping earlier into each run, glutes that ache the day after a long one, or runs you’re quietly cutting short.

None of these mean your race is over. They just mean your body is asking for attention, and there’s still time to give it.

🌟 CONGRATULATIONS NOAH DONNELLY 🌟

Noah not only finished the Sydney Marathon yesterday but he absolutely smashed it, finishing the 42.2km in a cracking 2:40:46 time. His running pace at 3:48min/km is absolutely incredible!!!

A message from Noah on how he felt about the event:
"... it was such an incredible experience out on the course with the crowds being electrifying and just so so pleased to see the hard work I'd put in throughout the block to have paid off! Can't wait for the next one but for now it's time to recover" ❤️

Definitely a well deserved recovery period, Noah. Rest up and enjoy that glorious feeling! 😍🍝🚰😴

Thank you to Noah's friend and running buddy, Rhys, for capturing the videos.

Hill running is a completely different challenge to running on flat ground, and Point to Pinnacle is one of the toughest tests of that.

1,271 metres of elevation means your glutes and calves are working overtime, your Achilles is under more load than usual, and your heart rate will spike faster than you expect, even at a pace that feels comfortable on the flat.

If your training has mostly been on flat roads, now is the time to add some hills and get your body assessed before race day.

We are offering P2P runners 20% off Running Assessments in the lead up to the event. Book online at allcarephysio.com.au or call us on (03) 6224 9777.
