This week we said a heartfelt farewell to Kate Gillham after an incredible 22 years with Langford.

Kate joined us back in March 2004 when the Langford team was only five people, and has been part of our journey through almost half of Langford’s 50-year history.

From big changes like the move to the NDIS, to personal moments like watching her daughter visit the office since she was a new born, Kate has been part of it all.

Her passion for supporting people to live a life of their choosing has made a real difference in the lives of so many.

When our CEO asked around about Kate’s impact, one word came up again and again: commitment. It shows in everything she’s done for participants, families, and our team. Kate has built lasting relationships and leaves behind a legacy of care, knowledge, and positive impact.

Thank you to the CWA Lindisfarne Branch and everyone who contributed to this donation!

Your donation has made it much easier for the people we support to explore fabric-based crafts and access the benefits they bring… Creativity and self-expression, problem solving, building and maintaining fine motor skills and providing a calming, mindful outlet. Not to mention the opportunities for social connection and a real sense of pride and achievement when you finish a project!
