We took our Wheel of Consent out for a spin at the UTas S**G (Sexual Health Awareness and Guidance) Market Day last week… and let's just say it was a wheelie good time! 🎡

Students stopped by to test their knowledge, ask questions and chat with local organisations about all things sexual health – from consent and healthy relationships to contraception, STI testing and where to find support.

Thanks to everyone who came over for a spin and a chat – helping make conversations about sexual health feel normal, informed and judgement-free is what it's all about.

👋🏽Hands up if you're a delight to be around when you haven't slept properly👋🏽

Getting the right amount of quality sleep can give us more energy, improve concentration, help us better deal with stress...and you guessed it…keep a healthy headspace.

Here's how those 💤s can improve our headspace.

👉🏽 more energy
👉🏽improve memory, attention and concentration
👉🏽less likely to crave snacks that aren't nutritious
👉🏽 help to better deal with stressful situations.

Back to the A -Z of mental health.

🎶E is for Express Yourself 🎶

Madonna was onto something when she sang Express Yourself back in 1989.

Your feelings matter. Whether you talk to a friend, write in a journal, make art, play music, or simply share what's on your mind, expressing yourself can help lighten the load.

You don't have to keep it all to yourself.

💪Thank you for your support during this year's Push-Up Challenge!

Whether you joined our team, cheered us on, donated, or helped spread the word, every bit of support made a difference.

Together, we raised awareness about mental health, started important conversations, and showed that when our community comes together, we can help create better mental health outcomes for young people.

Thank you for helping us push for better mental health. We couldn't have done it without you! 💪

Now for some rest 💤💤

🖤💛❤️ Happy NAIDOC Week! 🖤💛❤️

This year's NAIDOC Week theme, "50 Years of Deadly", celebrates an incredible milestone—50 years of honouring and celebrating the strength, resilience, cultures and achievements of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

It is a time to recognise and thank Elders, activists, organisers and communities who have led the way, championing First Nations storytelling, culture, truth-telling and resistance, while inspiring future generations.

At headspace Hobart, we celebrate the world's oldest continuing cultures and acknowledge the ongoing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to our communities.

We are committed to listening, learning and walking together on the path towards truth, respect and reconciliation.
