Its been a busy August at EFAP Australia! 🇦🇺

Our padded first responder bags are now complete with high-visibility zip pulls, designed to make opening and closing the bags fast and easy, even in low-light conditions. The bright zip pulls allow quick identification of zip sliders when every second counts.

Built to meet customer-specific requirements, these bags combine durability, functionality, and ease of use for emergency responders.

Many of our custom products aren't featured on our website because they're designed and manufactured to meet individual customer requirements.

The company which has supplied the CellAED devices, RRR Manufacturing Pty Ltd, has gone into liquidation. The liquidators for RRR Manufacturing, are conducting a Critical Recall for all lots of the CellAED device.

AED Safety Checks – What We’re Finding
Regular AED inspections aren’t just a formality—they’re a vital part of emergency preparedness. During our checks, we often uncover issues that could prevent an AED from working when it’s needed most:
✅ Expired batteries
✅ Expired or missing pads
✅ Batteries not inserted
✅ Pads not connected
✅ Mechanical error indicators
✅ Missing or expired consumables
✅ Poor signage—AEDs not easily locatable
✅ Unaddressed product correction notices or recalls
Even AEDs with built-in self-tests require manual visual inspections to ensure full functionality.
💡 Remember: Using an AED alongside CPR can dramatically improve survival chances before paramedics or first responders arrive.

At our workplace, we regularly review our safe systems of work to ensure they’re effective and up to date. One example is how we manage first aid kit servicing: we use detailed checklists not only to restock supplies but also to clean, inspect, and repair each kit before returning it to the workplace. ✅ It's a small process with a big impact—and a reminder that safety starts with the basics.
