Who else will like my art when they see it in the exhibition? π¨
It's a question Brett often wonders when his latest creation goes on display.
And after 20 years at Blue Apple Art Studio, there have been plenty of creations for people to admire.
Brett has spent two decades developing his skills, experimenting with ideas, building friendships and creating a style that's unmistakably his own.
Clay is where Brett really shines. He has a particular talent for recreating some of his favourite everyday things, with incredible detail! From a KFC meal to a Pepsi can, Brett carefully works on every detail to make his creations look as realistic as possible.
But some of the pieces that mean the most are the ones he creates for other people.
Brett loves making ceramics for family and friends. He thinks about the person he's creating for as he works, turning an idea into something made especially for them. It's how he shows them he cares π
His creativity has also led to some unforgettable moments. Brett is a big fan of artist and author Anh Do, whose creativity and kindness he admires. He even had the chance to meet Anh and present him with a portrait he'd created from paper pulp... a moment Brett won't forget.
Then there are the friendships. After 20 years, Blue Apple is a place filled with familiar faces. Brett loves catching up with friends, sharing ideas, seeing what everyone else is creating and having fun along the way π
And when exhibition time comes around, there's nothing quite like seeing his own work on display and knowing people have stopped to look at something he created. Twenty years of ideas, friendships, exhibitions and plenty of creativity with no signs of Brett slowing down.
We can't wait to see what you create next, Brett. π¨β¨
