Welcome Imbolc (early Spring) - time of waxing light in our Southern hemisphere. This is the midpoint between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. It is the time to breathe in early Spring energy and release the darkness and heaviness of Winter. The Earth is beginning to warm and the seeds of possibility planted at the Solstice begin to manifest as the light part of our days grows longer.

My Labyrinth received some TLC this weekend and today, I took down the very, very tattered prayer flags that had surrounded it and the Spiral. Instead of putting them in the rubbish bin and ending up in landfill, I decided to place them on the fire so that all their prayers and blessings would float away into the sky.

Merry Solstice! Winter Solstice for us here in our part of the world down under happens at 6.25pm tonight (after sunset) making tonight the longest night of darkness before the light returns to the land once more. Some beautiful Humans gathered with me on the beach in the pre-dawn this morning to acknowledge this celestial event.

Once again, I found myself drawing a Labyrinth in the dark guided by the flashlight on my husband's phone. Such a beautiful morning with a Meditation, a Labyrinth walk, and a dolphin, followed by a yummy breakfast at the cafe across the road. Fog came rolling in as we started so it was a "sneaky sunrise" as one participant put it.

I'll be lighting my candle at the Solstice moment to honour both the darkness and the light. Thank you everyone who came 💙👣 🍥

7 years ago today, I fulfilled my long held wish to walk the beautiful Dunure Labyrinth. Located just outside the village of Dunure in Scotland, at the base of a small cliff, overlooking the ocean, overlooked by the ruins of a castle. Paths of slate chips making a magical sound as I walked. Each path defined by Scottish thistles and other flowers and plants. The sound of the ocean in the background. Watched over by a large bird of some kind as I walked. The memories of that day rest in my heart forever 💙👣🍥
