Post separation abuse is like slow murd3r!

Everyone talks about coercive control like it ends when the relationship does. It doesn’t.
For a lot of women the most dangerous period isn’t during the relationship, it’s after they’ve left.
Post separation abuse just changes shape.

Instead of controlling what you wear or who you see, it becomes relentless solicitor letters, weaponised child contact, false reports to police or social services, financial sabotage, turning up where he knows you’ll be.
It’s designed to look reasonable on paper while it destroys you in real life.

The part that makes my blood boil is that the police still treat these as separate, disconnected incidents.

A breach here, a harassment call there, a custody dispute over there. Nobody joins the dots because nobody is required to. So the pattern that would show a court or a force exactly what’s happening never gets recorded as a pattern at all.

Leaving isn’t the end of the story.

For too many women it’s the start of a longer, quieter, harder story to prove.
