Yesterday, our Thursday Social Group got into the Halloween spirit with plenty of spooky fun, laughter and great company!

We love seeing everyone come together, get involved and make wonderful memories with their friends. There’s never a dull moment with this crew! 🧙‍♀️🦇

💙✨ Kelly's Had a Big Week! ✨💜

Kelly has been busy getting creative and trying new things this week, and she was so excited to share her achievements with everyone!

🕯️ With the help of support worker Emily, Kelly made her very first candle! This was something she'd never tried before, and she expressed just how excited she was to give it a go!

🥔 Kelly also got busy in the kitchen with support worker Renae, making a delicious homemade potato bake!

We love seeing Kelly explore new activities, build her skills and take pride in what she's achieved.

What a wonderful week, Kelly! We're so glad you wanted to share it with us! 💙✨

Tim made his very first candle yesterday at Creative Expressions, and he was absolutely thrilled with his creation!

He was so excited about what he'd made that he wanted us to share some photos with everyone! 💙💜

Looking for somewhere to call home, with a little extra support and plenty of independence?

We have one final vacancy available in our Individualised Living Options (ILO) home in beautiful Woodend, Ipswich!

This is a fantastic opportunity for an NDIS participant looking for a comfortable, welcoming home in a convenient location, with the opportunity to share with Kelly.

We're excited to introduce Rachael, the newest member of our administration team at Ellie Jane Support Services!

You may start hearing a new friendly voice answering our phones, responding to enquiries or helping out behind the scenes as Rachael settles into her new role.

Rachael has a passion for mental health and is looking forward to expanding her knowledge of the NDIS, getting to know our participants, families and staff, and learning all things EJSS!

We're so happy to have her joining us, and we hope you'll all give her a warm welcome as she finds her feet.

🏡 ILO Vacancy Available in Ipswich! 💙💜

We currently have a vacancy in one of our Ipswich ILO homes, and we’re looking for the right housemate match to join Kelly.

Kelly is friendly and kind and is looking for someone compatible to share her home with. Finding the right fit is important to us, so we’re happy to take the time for potential housemates to meet, get to know each other and see how everyone feels.

The home offers a private bedroom with air-conditioning, ceiling fan and TV, a large shared kitchen, fast internet and plenty of space to make yourself at home. It’s also in a fantastic location close to shops, cafés, restaurants, cinemas, bowling and other community activities.

Team member Andrew has had a busy few weeks helping Shaun and Adam explore South East Queensland!

They visited the Redlands Coast Museum and Model Railway Show, checking out the museum and some fantastic model train displays.

Another adventure took them to Oakey’s Old Machinery Expo, with vintage cars, trucks, tractors and machinery to explore.

Next was BrisBricks, with some amazing LEGO creations and plenty of photos along the way.

Most recently, they headed up the range for the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers, enjoying the gardens, markets, parade and carnival. They also stopped by Sunnybank for some delicious local food!

Four different adventures and plenty of fun along the way!

We can’t wait to see where Shaun and Adam head next! 🚊🥾

October Social Group Calendar is here! 🎃👻

We’ve got another fun month planned with swimming, the Queens Park Olympics, a Halloween party and bowling! 🎳🍕🏊‍♀️

A few reminders:
🏊 1 October: Pack swimmers and a hat
☀️ 8 October: Pack a hat and water
🎃 15 October: Halloween Party at the HUB, come dressed in costume!
🎳 22 October: Bowling at Zone Bowling Richlands and bring your own lunch
🏡 29 October: TBA!

And of course, plenty of our usual hot chocolate stops at Rose Cottage Cafe along the way ☕️

Group program had a busy day today! 🌿☀️ The group enjoyed a picnic at Mt Coot-tha, followed by a walk through the beautiful Botanic Gardens. Of course, we had to finish the day with an ice cream stop on the way home 🍦 A pretty great way to spend a Thursday!
