Happy Brain Psychology

Happy Brain Psychology Embracing differences. Celebrating diversity. Collaborative and inclusive mental health services At Happy Brain we know that one size does not fit all.

At Happy Brain we use a client centered approach using therapies such as Expressive Therapies, Strengths Based, Narrative and Solution Focused Therapies. We truly partner with the individual as well as their support system which may include family members, school teachers and anyone else that may be important to therapeutic success. Most importantly your goals and what is important to you is the c

entre of everything we do. We aim to mindfully listen and be present through the ups and downs of life but most of all we value the therapeutic partnership and pay careful attention to matching clients with the right therapist. So yes, we invest in getting to know you because trusting us to help you or someone you love is the foundation of any good therapeutic outcome. Our team includes a diverse range of registered mental health professionals who provide psychology, counselling and assessment services for children, adolescents, adults and families. We offer in clinic services, telehealth, and mobile outreach to schools and homes. We embrace and celebrate our clients' differences, dedicate time to getting to know them, to understand what’s important to them, and together create a therapy plan that's just right for them and will help them live the life they want to live.

🧠 External Group Supervision | 1st & 15th August | Limited Spots Remaining

Can we talk about the elephant in the supervision room? You know the session.
The one where everyone shares a case, a few people nod thoughtfully, someone says, "That's really complex...", someone else mentions attachment, and 90 minutes later you've gained exactly zero new intervention ideas. I promised myself years ago that if I ever ran supervision groups, they wouldn't be like that.

My approach is simple: clinicians are busy, supervision should be valuable, and you should leave with practical strategies you can use with clients—not just pages of notes and a vague sense of validation.

That's why my External Group Supervision Groups are:
✅ Limited to 6 clinicians
✅ Structured and highly focused
✅ Based on real cases submitted beforehand
✅ Designed around practical therapeutic interventions

Participants send through a case before the session, allowing me to review it and prepare resources, intervention ideas, and learning points ahead of time. This means we spend our time doing the work that matters most—clinical formulation, intervention planning, and therapeutic decision-making.

My area of specialisation is:
Trauma-informed therapeutic interventions for neurodivergent clients.
This is where I spend most of my clinical life, and it's what I love teaching.
Depending on the cases presented, discussions may include:
🔹 EMDR and trauma processing adaptations for neurodivergent clients
🔹 Parts work and structural dissociation
🔹 Schema Therapy
🔹 Polyvagal-informed interventions
🔹 Somatic and body-based approaches
🔹 Complex PTSD and developmental trauma
🔹 Autism, ADHD, and trauma intersections
🔹 Adapting interventions to fit the client rather than forcing the client to fit the intervention

If you're looking for supervision that combines evidence-informed practice, neurodiversity-affirming care, and practical therapeutic skills, I'd love to have you join us.

Therapy isn’t just about “feeling better” (although that's a pretty good goal). It can be about so much more. Like, realising that your reactions make sense. And that you have more choice in them than you think.

Therapy isn't about finding the "best" therapist. It's about finding the best fit for you.

Starting therapy isn’t a sign that something is wrong with you. It’s usually a sign that something has been too much, for too long.

A lot of people don’t come to therapy just because they “want to". They come because:
- Saying "I'm fine" is no longer working
- Burnout stopped being manageable
- Patterns kept repeating
Or they realised, “I can't keep holding all of this together”.
