Medical Receptionist (Casual)
Limestone Medical Centre – Ipswich, Brisbane QLD
2-3 days per week
Limestone Medical Centre is seeking a friendly and reliable Medical Receptionist to join our busy, doctor-owned general practice in Ipswich. This is a casual position offering flexible hours weekly.
About Us
We are a well-established, mixed-billing practice that has been serving the Ipswich community for over 100 years with 14 Doctors on staff. We are committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care and fostering a supportive, professional team environment built on integrity and collaboration.
About the Role
As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic while delivering excellent patient service.
Key Responsibilities
✨️Greet and check in patients
✨️Answer and manage incoming phone calls
✨️Book and confirm appointments
✨️Process private and Medicare (MBS) billing
✨️Assist with clinic documentation, including health assessments and vaccination records
✨️Open and close the clinic, including maintaining clean and tidy consulting rooms
✨️Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence
✨️Order and maintain office supplies
✨️Provide administrative support to doctors
✨️Build and maintain relationships with external providers, including specialists
Skills & Experience
Previous medical administration experience (preferred but not essential)
Familiarity with GP software and Medicare billing (advantageous)
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Professional, calm, and resilient approach

You are a positive and team-oriented individual who communicates respectfully, stays organised under pressure, and is ready to take on new challenges.
