Not quite.
It’s heavy work, balance, problem solving, and language development all in one real-life moment.

Real-life routines = real skill development.

This simple, repetitive story is a favourite for a reason! As a child goes for a walk, they meet a colourful parade of animals, making it the perfect book for encouraging participation, prediction, and early language development.

Shared book reading doesn't have to be complicated—reading the same story again and again helps children build confidence, strengthen comprehension, and learn new words in a meaningful way.

Have you read I Went Walking with your little one? We'd love to hear their favourite animal! 🩵
