We are looking for an Operations & Reception Manager to join our friendly, community-focused general practice in Jindabyne. This is a hands-on role combining front-of-house reception with responsibility for the smooth day-to-day operation of the business.
About the Role
This is a diverse position where no two days are the same. You'll spend part of your week working on reception supporting patients and our clinical team, and part of your time in the administration office coordinating the daily operations of the business.
You'll oversee the day-to-day workflow of the business, supporting and guiding our reception and nursing teams, coordinating rosters, assisting with operational issues and helping ensure the business continues to run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide exceptional customer service and reception support.
• Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the business.
• Prepare and manage staff rosters.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, support and guidance to the reception and nursing teams.
• Coordinate onboarding and induction of new team members.
• Manage ordering of clinical and office supplies.
• Be the first point of contact for basic IT issues and liaise with external providers.
• Coordinate routine maintenance and service providers.
• Assist with appointment scheduling issues and patient enquiries.
• Resolve routine patient concerns professionally and compassionately.
• Support the doctors and clinical team with the smooth running of daily operations.
• Assist the business owners with general administrative and operational tasks.
About You
You are a calm, confident and approachable professional who enjoys working with people and thrives in a busy environment. You communicate with empathy, professionalism and respect, and have the confidence to navigate challenging conversations with patients, staff and service providers in a constructive and solutions-focused manner.
Experience in healthcare is desirable but not essential. We welcome applications from candidates with transferable skills gained in healthcare, hospitality, tourism, retail, customer service or other fast-paced service environments.
