On ANZAC Day, we remember not only those who fought on the front lines, but also the many lesser-known people whose courage sustained others through war. Nurses, stretcher bearers, signalers, mechanics, engineers, drivers, codebreakers, factory workers, and community carers all carried unseen burdens in extraordinary times.
Their service reminds us that strength is not always loud or visible. Sometimes it is found in persistence, compassion, teamwork, and showing up each day in the face of fear and uncertainty.
Today we honour all who served — in battle, in support, and at home. Lest we forget.
