Are you navigating perimenopause or menopause and finding it difficult to know what advice to trust?

Changes in sleep, energy, mood, weight, concentration, bladder health, muscle strength and overall wellbeing can leave you wondering:

Is this menopause? What is actually happening to my body? And what should I be doing about it?

With so much information online and across social media, it can be difficult to separate evidence-based advice from all the noise.

That’s why we created the Pranavi Perimenopause, Menopause & Midlife Wellness Workshop — three inspiring hours dedicated to helping you better understand your changing body and giving you practical strategies you can take into everyday life.

Join three experienced women’s health professionals and learn about:

🌿 Perimenopause & menopause — understanding symptoms, hormonal changes and your long-term health - hormonal, metabolic, caridiovascular , bone and genitourinary health.
🥗 Nutrition & midlife metabolism — what to eat, why weight can feel different and how to support your health through midlife
💪 Movement, pelvic health & strength — protecting your muscles and bones, supporting your pelvic floor and addressing bladder concerns

You’ll learn directly from a Menopause & Women’s Health Specialist GP, Accredited Practising Dietitian and Women’s Health & Continence Physiotherapist — all in one supportive afternoon.

Your workshop experience includes interactive discussions, practical activities, guided movement, a comprehensive workbook, specially catered refreshments, a take-home Pranavi wellbeing tote bag, a $200 prize draw and more. ✨

A week of growth, purpose and gratitude.

This week began with preparing for and delivering a workshop for teachers — an opportunity to share knowledge, create meaningful conversations and hopefully make a difference through education.

Then came Pranavi Women’s Health’s first presentation at BNI Beyond. Standing in front of a room of inspiring business owners and sharing the vision and mission behind Pranavi was both exciting and deeply meaningful.

And today, I’m back in clinic — where, for me, it all begins.

One story at a time. One woman at a time.

It is in this clinic room that the power of listening, understanding and validating someone’s experience really comes to life. Sometimes being heard is all one is after.

This week has reminded me that whether I’m speaking to a room full of people or sitting across from one woman in clinic, the purpose remains the same — to educate, to listen, to support and to empower women with a better understanding of their health.

There is something very special about being able to do the work that you truly believe in.

Feeling grateful for the opportunities, the people I’m meeting along the way, and the journey ahead for Pranavi Women’s Health.

Midlife weight changes are rarely about food alone.

Hormonal changes, sleep, stress, muscle mass, nutrition, movement, medications and other health factors may all influence weight and body composition during midlife.

Rather than focusing on the number on the scales, it can be helpful to consider the broader picture, including energy levels, sleep quality, strength, eating patterns and overall wellbeing.

Concerned about changes in your weight or metabolic health? A consultation with Dr Usha provides an opportunity to discuss your symptoms, medical history, and appropriate care options based on your individual circumstances.

Midlife can change the conversation around weight.

Changes in weight and body composition during perimenopause and menopause can be influenced by a range of factors, including hormonal changes, ageing, muscle mass, sleep, activity levels, nutrition and individual health circumstances.

That’s why strategies that may have worked earlier in life may not always feel as suitable in midlife.

Rather than focusing only on the number on the scales, supporting overall health may include considerations such as maintaining muscle strength, eating a balanced and nourishing diet, staying physically active and supporting long-term health and wellbeing.

Every woman’s experience is different, and there is no single approach that is right for everyone.

If you’re noticing changes during midlife that are concerning you, consider discussing them with your GP or appropriately qualified health professional.

✨ Still buzzing from today! ✨
What an incredible privilege to deliver a menopause health workshop to 40 inspiring teachers — sharing evidence-based health information, opening up important conversations, and empowering women with knowledge about their bodies and their health.

I’m exhilarated by the opportunity to educate, challenge misconceptions, and create meaningful health impacts through knowledge, connection and conversation. 💜

When we give women the right information, we give them the power to advocate for themselves, make informed choices, and transform their health.

40 teachers. 40 ripple effects. And potentially hundreds of women and families reached through the knowledge shared today.

This is why I do what I do.

Midlife weight changes can be influenced by more than one factor. Hormonal changes, ageing, muscle mass, sleep, stress, nutrition, activity levels, medications, and existing health conditions may all play a role.

Supportive lifestyle measures, such as regular movement, balanced nutrition, adequate sleep, and stress management, may contribute to overall health. However, every person’s circumstances are different, and there is no single approach that is suitable for everyone.

Concerned about changes in your weight, energy, or metabolic health?
Dr Usha can discuss your symptoms, medical history, and appropriate management options during an individual consultation.

Movement doesn’t have to be intense to be meaningful.

A walk, some gentle stretching, light strength work, or simply spending more time on your feet can all be ways to include movement in your day.

The right type and amount of activity will look different for everyone, depending on factors such as health, fitness, energy levels, and individual circumstances.

Rather than focusing on doing more, it can be helpful to find movement that feels realistic, enjoyable, and sustainable for you.
