Polish sauerkraut
For Better Gut Health
I thought this was worth sharing with our yoga community. About 6-8 weeks ago my son, Teresa and me had chronic gut health problems. I took expensive probiotics pills from the chemist and they helped but not cure my problem. After researching I found sauerkraut was recommended as one of the most effective way to take probiotics. Many years ago I had made lots of sauerkraut and my daughter Tammy bought me a proper sauerkraut fermentation pot that sat in our cupboard for 5 to 7 year or so and my wife Teresa threatened to give it to Vinnies on several occasions, luckily she didn’t.
We decided to make our own sauerkraut and here it is.
The recipe is included. I did overdue the salt but the next batch will be better now I have successfully make this last batch.
I have made 4 separate videos to show you that will follow.
Give it a go and enjoy.
Warmest regards Keith

✨ AUGUST IS COMING… and we’re getting strong! ✨

This month I’m bringing something into my classes at Yoga Maya, Kalamunda that I’ve always struggled with — and because of that, have never really taught…

Eka Pāda Utkatāsana — Pistol Pose!

This Asana is such a brilliant whole-body challenge — building strength through the quads, glutes and core, while asking fkor plenty of balance, ankle and hip mobility, coordination and control. It’s also a fantastic way to explore unilateral strength — noticing what happens when one side has to do all the work! It’s something I’ve always struggled with myself, so rather than avoiding it, I thought… it’s time. Let’s get stronger and work on it together!

Starting Friday 31 July, 9am at Yoga Maya, Strength & Balance will explore the foundations — balance, mobility, core strength and plenty of playful prep.

Sunday Vinyasa we’ll flow through lengthening and strengthening postures, building that lovely unilateral strength one leg at a time.

And if your body is asking for a little pratikriyā after all that work, Nourish Yin & Sound will be all about fascial release through the glutes and hip flexors. Ahhhhh. 😌

No need to already be able to do it. I certainly can’t 😂 That’s the whole point.

I’ll also be sharing little exercises here throughout August for you to play with at home.

Let’s see where we are by the end of the month! ✨
