Please welcome Dr Peter MacDonnell 👋

Peter is originally from the north of Ireland and Graduated from Queens University, Belfast in 2016.
After completing initial training across a variety of specialties within the NHS to include Emergency Medicine and Psychiatry, he spent time in Perth working as an RMO in Sir Charles Gairdner hospital and Joondalup Health Campus up to 2020.
Peter completed his GP training within Northern Ireland obtaining Royal College of General Practitioners membership, and then further training as a GP with enhanced skills in Vasectomy. He completed training via the College of Sexual Health and Reproductive Medicine in the UK, and is excited to be able to offer this new service at Stirk Medical.

Peter enjoys consulting on all issues that arise in General practice, and is known for his calming demeanor, enjoying paediatrics to aged care alongside men’s health. He has spent extended time working within mental health psychiatry, including learning disability psychiatry.

In his spare time he is a keen hockey player and enjoys golfing, cycling and spending time with his family.

Please welcome Dr Christine Loughran 👋
She is an Aussie at heart, having grown up in Perth before moving to the north of Ireland and graduating from Medical School in 2016 (Queens University in Belfast). Throughout her time training in the NHS, she has worked in a wide range of specialties to include; Haematology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care.

She and her family moved back to Perth, after obtaining her membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK). A mother of one (and one fur baby dog), she enjoys all aspects of General Practice from the little ages right through to Women’s Health and Aged Care.

She enjoys getting to know patients and their families, and works to ensure patients are felt heard and at ease with their medical problems.
