Jarred, sprained or fractured finger from sport?

We see it all the time with football, basketball, netball and volleyball. These injuries might seem minor, but without the right treatment they can hang around longer than they should and impact how you play.

We’re excited to now offer a dedicated Hand Therapy Clinic in Dampier. That means we can provide hands-on treatment including taping, soft tissue massage, and custom-made splints designed specifically for YOUR injury and your day-to-day needs.

The goal is simple — support your recovery properly so you can get back to sport safely and confidently (no need to travel to Perth!).

šŸ‘‰ If you’ve injured your finger, don’t leave it too long. Book in with us and get it sorted.

Calf tears can happen suddenly when running, jumping, or pushing off from your foot. šŸƒā€ā™‚šŸ’Ø

If you’re experiencing pain, bruising, and swelling in your calf, tightness and/or difficulty pushing off your foot, it might be a calf tear.

šŸ•‘ Getting it checked out early can help set you on the right path to recovery and reduce the risk of re-injury.

Meet Physio Amna!

ā€œHi, I’m Amna, a Physiotherapist with a Master’s in Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy and over eight years of experience working across Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

I’ve worked in hospitals, outpatient clinics, and home-based care, supporting people with a wide range of conditions including musculoskeletal injuries, neurological cases, pediatrics, and geriatrics. I’m passionate about helping people move better, feel stronger, and get back to doing what they love.

My approach is simple — I take the time to listen, understand your goals, and create a personalised treatment plan using hands-on therapy and exercise-based rehab to support your recovery.

I’m also experienced in fitness and rehabilitation through my work as a Personal Trainer, which helps me guide patients through safe and effective recovery and strengthening.

I’m a kind and supportive person who enjoys working closely with both my team and the community. I truly believe in treating the whole person and supporting you every step of the way on your journey.ā€

We are so excited that Amna will be joining us and taking bookings from May 2026. We know our amazing clientele will make her feel warm and welcome.

Physio Georgie

World Parkinson’s Day: Movement, Understanding, and Support That Makes a Difference

On World Parkinson’s Day, we join the international effort to raise awareness, challenge stigma, and highlight the importance of early assessment and ongoing movement‑based therapy.

Parkinson’s is a progressive neurological condition — but with the right support, people can continue to move well, live well, and stay connected to the activities that matter most.

Every person’s journey is unique. Symptoms can affect movement, balance, speech, energy, mood, and daily routines in different ways. That’s why physiotherapy and occupational therapy play such a vital role across all stages of Parkinson’s.

Early assessment and ongoing check‑ins with physio and OT ensure you’re supported at every stage.

Movement matters. Understanding matters. Support matters.

World Health Day

This World Health Day, we’re celebrating the everyday wins that keep our bodies moving, our minds steady, and our lives meaningful. Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy aren’t just for injuries — they’re about building strength, confidence, and independence at every age and stage.

At our core, we believe health is created through the small, consistent choices we make. So today, we’re sharing a few evidence‑based tips our physios and OTs use every day to support healthier living:

šŸ’” Health Tips for a Stronger, Happier You
- Move often, not perfectly. Aim for regular movement breaks throughout your day — even 2–3 minutes of stretching or walking can reduce stiffness, boost circulation, and improve focus.
- Prioritise posture variety, not ā€œperfect posture.ā€ Your body loves change. Switch positions regularly, adjust your workspace, and give your muscles a chance to share the load.
- Build strength you can use. Functional strength training — lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting — supports joints, prevents injury, and keeps you doing the things you love.
- Protect your energy. OTs call this pacing: balancing activity and rest so you can get through your day without burning out.
- Support your nervous system. Slow breathing, grounding exercises, and gentle movement help regulate stress and improve overall wellbeing.
- Make your environment work for you. Small changes at home or work — better lighting, supportive seating, or adaptive tools — can make daily tasks easier and safer.

Today, we honour the physios and OTs who walk alongside individuals, families, and communities — helping people move with confidence, participate fully, and live life on their own terms. Health is a journey, and we’re proud to be part of yours.

Happy World Health Day. šŸŒ±šŸ’™
