Our Circle of Security Parenting Program is back for Term 3! 🥰

This FREE 6-week program is designed to all parents and carers, drawing on decades of research to help build stronger, more secure relationships with children.

Parenting can sometimes leave us feeling unsure, overwhelmed, or wondering what our child needs most. The Circle of Security Parenting Program helps you better understand your child's emotional world, recognise their cues, and respond with confidence.

Using the Circle of Security Parenting model, you'll learn how to:
⭐ Understand your child's emotional needs and behaviours
⭐ Support your child's ability to manage emotions effectively
⭐ Strengthen your child's self-esteem and confidence
⭐ Foster a secure and nurturing parent-child relationship

🧺 Get your snacks ready — PICNIC CLUB is almost here! 🎉

Picnic Club is a FREE, play-based, evidence-informed program for children aged 2-5 years who maybe selective with food, cautious around new foods, or who find mealtimes tricky.

Using a responsive, low-pressure approach, children are supported to build comfort, confidence and positive experiences with food through play, without pressure to taste or eat.

This group is:
✔️ Child-led
✔️ Neurodiversity-affirming
✔️ Responsive feeding informed
✔️ Focused on Safety Before Variety

Facilitated by our Dietitian and Occupational Therapist, each session includes playful food exploration, practical strategies for caregivers, and a relaxed picnic environment where children can learn alongside their peers.

Welcome back to our 10 Facts about Connect series!

Emily was our very first Occupational Therapist here at Connect PTS, and we are so proud to say she is still working with us today! 🌟

Emily grew up in the Wheatbelt of WA before heading to Perth to study Occupational Therapy at Curtin University. She made the move to Karratha in 2016 for her first OT role at Connect — back when the team was just her and Caitlin working out of a granny flat! Since then, Emily has worn many hats, from OT to Senior OT to Clinical Services Manager, and now works in a projects role while juggling life with her twins. She’s especially passionate about parent coaching and Circle of Security Parenting, helping families feel confident and connected. When she’s not at work, you’ll likely find her camping, free diving, at CrossFit, or getting lost in a good book — ideally with a coffee in hand. ❤️
