The Banksia Practice

Since 2022 The Banksia Practice in Katoomba has donated annually to Wagana. The support from Amy at Banksia is quiet and unassuming. In Wiradjuri we would say it is given with yindyamarra 🦋

This year the Banksia donation will help four of our young dancers in their fundraising to attend the Dance and the Child International gathering in Malaysia in 2027. Thank you Amy! 🦋

The Banksia Practice is proud to present the first two sessions in a series of short seminars aimed at supporting trans and gender diverse young people, their friends, families, teachers and care givers. Both sessions are facilitated by Nevo Zisin who a q***r, non-binary, Jewish writer, performer, activist and public speaker is based in Naarm/ Birraranga / Melbourne. Nevo has presented talks and workshops to schools and businesses in the public and private sector as well as regular appearances on television, radio and podcasts, not to mention their recent TEDx talk which will be available to view shortly.
