We’re looking for a Myotherapist to join the Emjay Therapies team in Kilsyth!

Our clinic has a strong focus on women’s health, including pregnancy, postpartum, pelvic health and helping women feel strong, comfortable and confident in their bodies. 💗

We’d ideally love someone who already has experience working with women’s health clients, or someone who is genuinely interested in learning and developing their skills in this area.

What we’re looking for:
• Myotherapist OR Remedial Massage Therapist
• Dry needling qualified, or willing to complete dry needling training
• A warm, caring and professional approach
• Someone who enjoys working as part of a small team
• Willingness to learn and grow their skills, particularly in women’s health

Our Wellness Open Day is officially done 🫶

What a day. We got to meet so many new faces, catch up with our loyal clients and honestly just feel so much love for what we’ve built at Emjay Therapies.

We completely gave away all of our wellness gift bags, had so many entries into the giveaway and loved seeing everyone walking through the clinic. Nicole the cosmetic nurse was flat out chatting all things Dermalogica and skincare recommendations too ✨

Jaw tension and headaches often go hand in hand.

When the masseter muscle (one of the main chewing muscles) gets tight from clenching, grinding, stress or poor sleep, it can start referring pain and for some people it shows up as jaw tightness or soreness.
For others it’s those headaches that just seem to linger for days.

Dry needling is one technique that can help release that muscle and settle the tension down.

After a stressful week, poor sleep, or a sick kid at home, it’s pretty common for that tension to build up. Which is why the jaw is an area I treat quite a lot in clinic. Sometimes we also refer for masseter Botox when clenching or grinding is severe.

If you’re someone who wakes up with jaw tightness or gets headaches that just won’t budge, the jaw muscles might be playing a bigger role than you think.

Not everyone loves needles.
Not everyone enjoys cupping.
And that’s completely okay.

Sometimes clients feel like they should say yes to everything we suggest. But the truth is, treatment only works well when your body actually feels safe and comfortable with what’s happening.

If you’re lying there thinking “I really don’t want this”, your nervous system is already on high alert… and that’s not the environment your body needs to relax, release tension, and heal.

So if needles aren’t your thing, we’ll skip them.
If cupping feels too intense, we’ll try something else.
If something hurts more than expected, tell us.

We promise you won’t offend us.

Good treatment is a team effort, and the best results happen when you feel heard, comfortable, and in control of what’s happening in your session.

Pelvic balancing is often the missing piece for clients with persistent back pain.

When massage alone isn’t holding, when symptoms keep returning, when something just feels “off”, this is usually where we look.

Today we came together for a professional development session. Time intentionally set aside to build on our knowledge as practitioners and refine our clinical skills as a team.

We spent the afternoon assessing, correcting pelvic imbalances, re-checking landmarks and using the client’s own nervous system and muscle strength to create change.

Not just stretching muscles.
Not just chasing tight spots.
But thinking. Problem-solving. Refining.

And honestly? They were absolute superstars.

So proud of these legends for:
• Asking so many thoughtful questions (the kind that show genuine interest and depth)
• Backing their hands
• Trusting the process
• Refining their clinical reasoning
• And having so much fun putting the puzzle pieces together as a team

This is how we level up.
Not just techniques but thinking.

Think of Myotherapy like a car service.

Most of the time, we’re under the hood.
Cups, needles, mobilisation, finding what’s overloaded and why.

But sometimes… the engine’s actually running okay. It’s just been pushed hard.

Back to full-time hairdressing after the holidays, long days on her feet, arms working nonstop. Fatigue builds even when nothing feels sore or tight.

When the cups have done their job,
there’s room to slow the pace for a moment.

Not because it’s a relaxation massage appointment but because a tired body responds better when it’s allowed to exhale.

That quieter flow isn’t wasted time. It helps the work land before we move on to the next area.
