Domestic and family violence is not just a private issue. Its impact reaches into our workplaces, our families, our sporting clubs, our communities and the broader Australian society.

Every day, people can be carrying the impacts of domestic and family violence with them into the workplace. It can affect safety, concentration, relationships, attendance, performance and, most importantly, a person’s sense of wellbeing and security.

It is also something that communities cannot afford to ignore.

Creating workplaces where people feel safe to speak up, where leaders understand the signs, and where staff know how to respond appropriately can make a genuine difference.

It has been an absolute honour for the Bunyarra Wellbeing Co team to work alongside Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology on their domestic and family violence policy and to help deliver training to their staff around this important topic.

The willingness of organisations like Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology to have these conversations, strengthen their policies and equip their people with knowledge is an important step towards creating safer workplaces and stronger communities.

Domestic and family violence affects all of us.

The more we understand.
The more we notice.
The more confidently we respond.
The more opportunity we have to make a difference.

Thank you to Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology for recognising the importance of this work and for allowing us to be part of the journey.

There is something incredibly important about preparing young people for their first steps into the workforce.

Starting an apprenticeship, traineeship or first job is about more than learning the skills of a trade or understanding how to do the job. It is also about learning how to look after yourself while doing it.

Understanding workplace wellbeing, building a healthy work-life balance, recognising when stress is starting to build, knowing when to speak up, and being able to notice when someone around you might not be travelling so well are skills that can stay with a young person throughout their entire career.

The earlier we start these conversations, the better prepared our young people are to create workplaces where looking after each other is just as important as getting the job done.

A huge shout out and thank you to South Burnett Regional Council for inviting Bunyarra Wellbeing Co to work with their young people, trainees and apprentices.

We are incredibly proud to be part of helping the next generation understand that wellbeing belongs in the workplace from day one.

Because building a great career should never come at the expense of looking after yourself or the people around you.

Start the conversation early. Build the habits early. Look after each other.

Big projects are built on more than plans and equipment. They are built on people. Every successful project represents countless hours, unwavering commitment, and the sacrifices made by those who turn up each day to make it happen.

As the number of major projects continues to grow across Australia, it has been an incredible privilege for the Bunyarra Wellbeing Co team to be invited to support the people behind the work by prioritising their wellbeing.

Most recently, we had the opportunity to support the Stanwell Power Station outage alongside an outstanding team that embraced a positive, people first approach. That shared commitment created an environment where meaningful wellbeing support could make a genuine difference.

When we invest in the people who maintain our critical assets, we are investing in safer workplaces, stronger teams, and better outcomes for everyone. Looking after people is never separate from success. It is the foundation of it.

There’s something pretty special about living in a regional community.

Today, Bunyarra Wellbeing Co was proud to support the Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce Battle of the Businesses Golf Day, helping raise funds for the S.M.I.L.E. Initiative and the incredibly important work it does to support mental health and wellbeing across our community.

Representing Bunyarra today were our founder, Michael, and our youngest team member, and Michael's son,Hayden, who we are told did all the hard work, whilst Michael learnt golf is not his sport. Sharing days like this together is a reminder that community isn't just something we talk about; it's something we build, one generation at a time.

One of the greatest privileges of being from a regional town is seeing local businesses, organisations and individuals continually show up for one another. Whether it's through sponsorship, volunteering, fundraising or simply turning up, every contribution helps strengthen the place we all call home.

A huge thank you to the organisers for putting together another fantastic event, to the sponsors whose generosity makes days like this possible, and to every team and participant who came along to support such a meaningful cause.

Together, we're proving that when community comes together, we can create real change, not just on the golf course, but in the lives of those around us. 💙⛳

In high-performance sport, it's easy to become consumed by statistics, results and outcomes.

But behind every performance is a person.

Over the past week, I was reminded once again that our greatest impact isn't always made through tactics, game plans or performance reviews. It's made by being present. By listening. By creating spaces where athletes feel safe, valued and supported as people first.

When we invest in player wellbeing, we aren't taking away from performance—we're building the foundation for it. Athletes who feel connected, supported and mentally healthy are better equipped to learn, compete, lead and thrive. Performance is often the by-product of genuine wellbeing.

A huge thank you to Indigenous Basketball Australia for welcoming myself and the incredible team from Bunyarra Wellbeing Co back for our third consecutive year. It is a privilege to walk alongside such an inspiring organisation that continues to place equal importance on culture, connection and care.

Congratulations to both the Women's and Men's Indigenous All Stars on outstanding tournament victories. Your success on the court reflected not only your talent, but also the strength of your culture, unity and commitment to one another.

Thank you to every player, coach, support staff member and volunteer who made the week so special. We are honoured to play a small part in supporting your journey and look forward to continuing this partnership for years to come.

A big thank you to Stanwell for the story they did up on Bunyarra founder, Michael.

From his journey as a trainee in power gen, to medical challenges and overcoming adversity.

The story shapes who we are, why we do what we do, and motivates us to ensure no one struggles alone.

Today's modern mode of transport whilst counselling is Jesse's Lethal Golden Girl... the horse! 🐴

In our industry, it's all about finding ways to make support work when and where it's needed. Today, that meant keeping up and being present in a slightly different way.

At Bunyarra, we love doing things differently because different is often how we make support accessible for the people who need it most.

Not everyone can make it into an office. Not everyone has the time or space to sit on a phone call. That's why we adapt, think creatively, and meet people where they are, both literally and figuratively.

Because meaningful support isn't about how it's delivered. It's about being there when it matters.

Today, that meant swapping the office chair for the saddle, and we wouldn't have it any other way. 🐴💙

Project season is officially underway, and honestly, there is nowhere else we would rather be than on the ground alongside our incredible clients.

While projects bring excitement, opportunity, and growth, they can also bring pressure, long hours, and unique challenges. That's why being present matters. Supporting staff isn't just about being available when things go wrong. It's about building relationships, checking in regularly, and creating an environment where people know support is there before they need to ask for it.

Strong projects are built by strong people, and strong people are supported by strong teams.

Here's to another project season focused on connection, wellbeing, and making a positive impact where it matters most.

In a world full of perfectly curated feeds and endless pressure to be "more," we often forget that our greatest superpower is authenticity. You don’t need a flawless routine or all the answers to make an impact.

Just by showing up as your true self and being fully present, you create a ripple effect of positive well-being.
Think about it:

Your authenticity gives others permission to drop their armor.

Your presence lets people know they are truly seen and heard.

Never underestimate the power of a simple, genuine check-in.

A quick "Hey, I was thinking about you, how are you actually doing?" might feel small to you, but it can mean the absolute world to someone else.
By being real and looking out for one another, we build communities rooted in genuine connection.

Take a breath, be yourself, and check in on a friend today. You make more of a difference than you will ever know. 💙💙🦋🦋

This week was a special one for Bunyarra as we had the privilege of returning to where many of our community programs first began, alongside the .

Delivering NICL training to local business and community members was an opportunity to continue building education, awareness and understanding around wellbeing, not only within workplaces but within our broader community. The training focused on supporting both staff wellbeing and personal wellbeing, while encouraging us all to better recognise when someone may need support and how we can look out for one another.

At Bunyarra, we are incredibly proud and honoured to work alongside communities of all sizes. We strongly believe that no community should ever be forgotten when support is needed, and we remain committed to ensuring education, connection and wellbeing support are accessible for everyone.

A huge thank you to the Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce and all those who participated throughout the week. It is partnerships and community engagement like this that continue to create stronger, healthier and more connected communities.
