Stress Was Designed to Save Your Life. Not Run It.
Thousands of years ago, stress had a clear purpose.
A threat appeared.
Your body reacted.
The danger passed.
Your nervous system settled.
Today, the threats are different.
Emails.
Deadlines.
Financial pressure.
Relationship challenges.
Social media.
Constant notifications.
The problem is that the human nervous system hasn't evolved as quickly as modern life.
Many people spend hours each day in a low-level state of alertness without realising it.
Over time this can affect:
• Sleep
• Concentration
• Mood
• Decision-making
• Physical health
Stress itself isn't the enemy.
In fact, stress can help us perform, adapt, and grow.
The challenge comes when the body never receives the signal that it is safe to switch off.
One of the most valuable skills in modern life may not be working harder.
It may be learning how to recover more effectively.
How do you switch off after a busy day?
