A little ni**le doesn’t always have to become a big problem. Getting on top of things early can help you understand what’s going on and get you back to doing what you love. 💪

July is Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Month ❤️

When we think about cancer, head and neck cancer isn’t always the first that comes to mind. But every year for thousands of Australians, it’s a life-changing diagnosis.

Head and neck cancer is an umbrella term for around 40 different types of cancer that develop in the head and neck region. Treatment can affect some of life’s most basic functions, including eating, drinking, swallowing, speaking and even breathing. Beyond the physical challenges, these cancers can also have a profound impact on confidence, identity and emotional wellbeing.

In Australia:
🔹 Around 3,500 people are diagnosed with head and neck cancer each year.
🔹 Thyroid cancer affects approximately 2,400 Australians annually.
🔹 More than 500,000 Australians receive treatment for skin cancers of the head and neck every year.

This month is about raising awareness, encouraging early detection, and supporting those living with and beyond head and neck cancer. A conversation, a check-up, or recognising the signs early can make all the difference.

Help spread awareness by sharing this post.
