🐴 Do You Have a Heart for Horses? We Need You! 🐴

RDA South (Glenorchy) is looking for a reliable volunteer to join our team for our Saturday morning feeding roster.

If you love the quiet of a Saturday morning and the company of grateful horses, this is the perfect way to give back to your local community!

What’s involved?
As a feeding volunteer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our hardworking RDA horses are fed and all is well within their paddocks. Because you will be working independently on the property, we do have a few requirements:
👉 Experience - You must have previous experience around horses.
👉 Age - Applicants must be 18 years or older.
👉 Commitment - We are looking for someone to join our weekly Saturday morning roster.
👉 Training - We provide basic training focused on safety protocols for both our horses and the RDA property.
👉 Shared Roster - If more than one person applies, they can share the role on a weekly or fortnightly shared roster.

Why volunteer with RDA South?
You’ll be supporting a fantastic organisation that provides life-changing opportunities for people living with disability—plus, there’s no better way to start your weekend than with some equine therapy of your own!

Interested in joining the team?
We’d love to hear from you:

: Day 49

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

As we are close to wrapping up this incredible milestone year, our hearts are full. We want to send a massive THANK YOU to the local businesses, donors, and community partners who have supported RDA Tasmania over the last half-century.

Whether you donated hay, raised funds, provided professional services, or assisted in some other amazing way, your generosity has been the "horsepower" behind our programs for 50 years. 👏

We’d love to tag every single one of you, but the list is simply too long—which is a pretty amazing "problem" to have! 😊

Your generosity has kept our programs running and our horses happy, healthy, and in tip-top shape. We couldn't do it without our Tassie community. 🫶

Thank you for being part of our journey and helping us keep the hoofbeats going.
❤️🐴💜
