Firstly Hi, just a little check in to say I'm here. I'm still working through the processes of finding stability in my medication and practices to support the best Jade for me, my family, loved ones and the WHY community.
As some of you may know, I serve cacao as a Wilka Suyu Shamanic Ceremonialist and as an extension of that reverence, my Monacan heritage and a personal preference I use aromatics - plants as sacred smoke, utilising essential oils and flower essences. I am picky from where and whom I source these as I wish to support small business providing high quality, ensure there is alignment in the ethical considerations, sustainability, reverence, knowledge and understanding of responsibility. The majority of what I use is from Anna
To support me through this season of change she created this epic array of personalised remedies after a lengthy, detailed consult including the use of tarot. This included detailed intentions of each blend, of the essences on their own and together. I got all the extras because I'm holistic and maybe a little extra sometimes (Yappa! - "more" in Quechua).
Something fundamental in yoga and ceremony is that life is the ultimate ceremony/practice. That it is what we take outside of those specific spaces and how we move in the world. A sense of how and who you are, a state of being which supports the doing.
I don't always share my processes, especially in a public space as I they are special to me, I am present, I have the utmost respect for how I share the knowledge I have been blessed to receive, I'm exploring them, everyone has to find their own version and I'm trauma informed. I am missing sharing the teachings and can't wait to be ready again whenever that may be. But I did feel called to share this.
When I received the package, I sat it on my altar with my mesa, like another mesa until I had time to be present with it. I offered sacred smoke in all of the directions of the Chakana, I connected with Maestra cacao, my Mesa and allies, I sat with it sensing the smells lingering in the packaging and the energy before mindfully opening each item. I read each part of widsom and set the program through inkarri prayer like we do with cacao and khuyas (the crystals, stones etc in our Mesa) before connecting with each medicine and the co-creation as a whole. I called in and thanked the spirit of each plant essence (the Nuestas), the ancestors of the lands from where they are sourced, all the souls who help it get to us and of course Pachamama. When I use them, I will remind myself of these intentions. Not through the same process but a quick moment to say thank you for supporting me and choosing when and how to use them.
This may not be your thing. That's ok. We can start simple, deepen, sometimes with more detail but usually with more repetition and consistency to enable the simple to be deeper. But maybe you can take a moment to be more intentional. With what you are putting on or in your body. As you are moving your body, what you are experiencing? How is your breath? Awareness of your senses. Awareness of where you are here and now.
If we can support you through yoga we would love to see you on the mat.
Sending all the Sami (highest frequency of love and light), Jade
