On World Physiotherapy Day, we celebrate the role that our dedicated physio, Annie make in the lives of our patients every day. Annie helps people with chronic conditions to regain movement, build strength, recover from illness and injury, and achieve their best possible quality of life.

Today, we would like to thank Annie for her commitment to keeping Wunan Health and our patients moving!

🏆 BRAGGING RIGHTS AT WUNAN HEALTH! 🏆

📰 Hot off the press! We are incredibly proud to celebrate our phenomenal Dr Alice Fitzgerald, who has been crowned Rural Generalist of the Year at the ACRRM Excellence Awards 2026! 🌟

Dr Alice first joined the Wunan Health family (formerly Kununurra Medical) in 2017 as a GP Registrar. Since then, she has become a highly respected and valued member of the Kununurra community and the wider East Kimberley region.

Whether she is caring for patients at Wunan Health, Kununurra Hospital, travelling to remote communities, or sharing her knowledge and experience with medical students through the Rural Clinical School, Dr Alice consistently demonstrates an extraordinary passion and commitment to rural medicine.

Her dedication to her patients, her colleagues and the communities she serves is truly inspiring. She embodies the very best of rural healthcare — compassionate, hardworking, community-minded and committed to delivering the highest standard of care.

We couldn't be prouder of Dr Alice and this incredibly well-deserved recognition. 💙
