On September 11 I will be walking 9kms to support Lifeline Newcastle and Hunter.

My extended family has recently experienced a tragic loss, and my walk is a way to honour this loss and to support them in their grief. 🩵

I'm back, after a wonderful week exploring New Zealand's North Island in a motorhome. This is me tramping (hiking) the Tongariro crossing on a very wet, very cold day! While I couldn't complete the whole crossing, I achieved a climb to over 1600m elevation and a total of 15.6km.
I have a few appointments for current clients and supervisees this week and would love to catch up with you.

As an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW), I provide focused psychological strategies to support people experiencing a range of mental health issues. For clients with a Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral from their GP or Psychiatrist, a Medicare rebate may be claimed after fees are paid, to reduce the cost of sessions. Some private health funds also provide benefits for mental health care provided by AMHSW's.

I'm pleased to announce I have just received notice of becoming an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers. This accreditation recognises my skills and experience in providing counselling to people experiencing mental health issues, and entitles me to provide a Medicare rebate for sessions provided under a Mental Health Treatment Plan.
