Today it is 15 years since I lost you my beautiful Niklas. Time has gone so fast but at times it feels like yesterday. How I miss your smile your hugs and your promise to always look after Mumsen. Well you are around me all the time but my heart is still broken but I have learnt to live with my sadness as I know one day we will meet again ♥️I treasure all the memories and the fact you shared you wishes for your final farewell. It made it so much easier to plan the best for you. Love always ♥️

Today I managed to have a day off work. I went to the beach to spend time in spirit with my beautiful friend Soraya who left this world this wk. I feel so lucky I was part of Soraya’s life but so sad that part is now gone. I am so impressed Soraya filled out her wishes using mywhitedocument as her inspiration. Soraya I will always love you. I will always miss you. You are one of my forever friends and will live in my heart forever. RIP my angel 👼👼😔😔🙏🙏♥️♥️

Working as a cancer nurse for most of my nursing career, I have been part of the grief, loss and bereavement that patients and their loved ones go through at the end when there are no more treatment options. I have had many patients that wanted to make end-of-life arrangements but found it too hard to discuss with their loved ones. The emotional part of the imminent end of life for someone is very challenging for all involved, and everyone deals with this differently. To expect an open dialogue and expressions of requests does not come easy.
