The first half of the year has been incredibly busy and rewarding as we welcomed a whopping 36 exceptional doctors into the Jupiter Health family including our growing Sanctuary Wellness & Medical Centre team. Their expertise, energy, and commitment to patient care have strengthened our network and expanded the services we provide across WA.

Please join us in welcoming Dr Dheemantha Basnayake (Dr Dhee) to Jupiter Health Subiaco!
With over 20 years of medical experience across hospital and general practice settings, Dr Dhee is passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to every patient’s individual needs.
After graduating with his MBBS in 2006, Dr Dhee went on to complete his Doctor of Medicine (Emergency Medicine) and earn Membership of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (MRCEM), UK. Since moving to Australia, he has continued building his expertise and is currently completing the Fellowship Support Program (FSP) with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).
Dr Dhee enjoys caring for patients of all ages and has a special interest in:

📚Today at the Jupiter Health Managers Training Session, we explored the end-to-end journey of Recruitment & Onboarding and the critical role managers play in attracting and successfully integrating new doctors into our practices.

The session provided valuable insights into the different pathways and location restrictions for both overseas-trained doctors and Australian-trained doctors, helping us better understand the complexities involved in medical recruitment.

We covered the entire process, including:
• Conducting interviews
• offers of employment
• Navigating visa requirements for overseas-trained practitioners
• Understanding AHPRA registration pathways and location restrictions
• Managing provider number applications
• Coordinating practice inductions to ensure a smooth transition into the team

Recruitment doesn’t end with an accepted offer.
It’s about partnering with managers every step of the way to create a seamless onboarding experience that supports our doctors from their first interview through to their first day in practice.

Please join us in welcoming Dr Vinay Verma to Jupiter Health Subiaco.
Dr Verma is a passionate GP who believes in providing holistic care to patients from all walks of life. After completing his medical training in India, he moved to Australia in 2011 and gained extensive experience working at Royal Perth Hospital and Joondalup Health Campus.
With a special interest in paediatrics, Dr Verma completed his Diploma of Child Health through the University of Sydney and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2018.
Dr Verma’s areas of interest include:
• Paediatrics
• General Medicine
• Chronic Disease Management
• Men’s Health
• Travel Medicine
• Preventative Medicine
• Mental Health
• Iron Infusions

Implanon is an implant that is used as contraception to prevent pregnancy. The medicine is contained in a small plastic rod that is implanted into the skin of your upper arm. The medicine is released slowly into the body. The rod can remain in place and provide continuous contraception for up to 3 years.
