One of the things I value most about fertility care is helping couples understand their unique journey.
Recently, I supported a woman whose overall health and menstrual cycle were in a wonderful place. She had invested time in nourishing her body, supporting her reproductive health and preparing for pregnancy. Yet despite all of those positive foundations, previous surgeries had left significant scar tissue, making IVF the most appropriate pathway.
This is something I think is so important to talk about.
Looking after your health doesn't always mean you'll avoid fertility treatment.
Sometimes it means you'll approach treatment with a stronger, healthier foundation.
Together, we focused on supporting her overall wellbeing before and during IVF.
We worked on nutrition, stress management, sleep, and creating the best possible environment for her body. During her treatment, she was told that if the excellent embryo health achieved didn't result in a pregnancy, further investigations would be recommended.
Thankfully, following embryo transfer, implantation was successful.
What I love most about this story isn't simply the positive outcome.
It's the reminder that supporting your health is never wasted. Whether your path involves natural conception, ovulation induction or IVF, caring for your body matters.
Not because it guarantees a particular result.
But because you deserve to feel as healthy, supported and resilient as possible throughout the journey.
Every fertility journey is different.
Your care should be too.
If you're preparing for IVF or wondering how to best support your body alongside treatment, I'd love to help.
