Dear FRESH FITNESS CO. 💌
Well… what can I possibly say, other than - what a chapter.
I started this thing in 2011, at 21 years old with half a dozen PT clients, a house mortgage, and a six-figure business loan. And here we are, 15 years later, 15 years wiser, 15 years stronger, and saying goodbye. It’s been a hell of a ride, and one I will be forever grateful for.
Thank you for being the flame that ignited the drive to chase my own destiny. Thank you for being the vehicle that allowed me, for a decade and a half, to influence the lives of others, for the better. You taught me that nothing is given, only earned. You proved that the risk is always worth it - especially when it is fueled by passion and authenticity. You showed me that it’s the people you do it with, that make the journey.
Thank you for the lessons, the steep early learning curves, and the necessity of growing up fast. Thank you for the daily challenges, the learning on the go, and the "f**k it, let’s see how it goes". Thank you for testing my patience, my resilience, and my perseverance and in doing so, building ME.
Thank you for the freedom, the time, the flexibility, and the space to allow me to learn and grow. Thank you for the opportunity to explore myself, to expand, to travel, and to live my twenties how I hoped I would. Thank you for providing the foundation to explore other ventures, open new doors, and to build A LIFE. Thank you for the confidence, the belief, and the foundation to always continue becoming a better human.
Thank you for teaching me, A LOT.
You don’t get into business, to ‘start a business’ - you do it because you’ve found your thing. And with that, by its very nature comes a whole lot of people who help build with you and become a part of that dream.
To those people…
The thousands of people who walked through our doors, whether for a single session, a few months, or the entire 15-year ride THANK YOU.
Thank you for your time, your trust, your belief, your patience and your loyalty. It has been nothing but a privilege, to watch you grow, to sweat alongside you, and to play a small part in your journey. You didn't just come to train you came to become better versions of yourselves, and your commitment along the way pushed me to do the same. To the members who became part of the furniture, helped us move and always showed up, you are our lifeblood.
To every staff member who poured their heart into our gym, you were the engine, particularly in the latter years. Thank you for your sweat, your early mornings, and the unwavering energy you brought to our floor - and for always getting it done amongst my head in the clouds chaos.
To my family, friends, and partner - thank you for always being there, supporting and cheering from the sidelines from start to finish, riding the highs and lows. A lot of you at times, literally gave me blood sweat and tears when it mattered most. This type of journey doesn’t exist without your unconditional love, help and support.
Over the years, I’ve poured everything I have into a dream that started in college, and it has given me SO MUCH MORE in return. But after a decade and a half, it is time for me to step away and hand the reins over to a new team. A team who can give the gym and more importantly our legendary 7307 community, what it deserves. I am incredibly proud of our journey and what we built together.
The FFCo story hasn’t quite wrapped up how I’d planned but as they say - such is life. The thing about most good stories is that they almost always have a comeback tour, a redemption arc or perhaps a new and exciting sequel. I guess we’ll see.
Forever grateful and always in your corner.
Fresh x.
