A big welcome to Wallace!

Wallace is a Griffith University Pharmacy student who will graduate later this year and was recently shortlisted from over 500 applicants to participate in practical assessment activities right here in Latrobe.

It's exciting to see such strong interest in joining our team and serving our community. At TerryWhite Chemmart Latrobe, we're committed to finding and developing the very best people so we can continue providing outstanding care to the people who rely on us every day. This recruitment drive is part of our overall engagement plan to bring more care and health services to Latrobe and Districts as more clinic rooms come online later this year.

Over the past few days, you may have noticed some disruption while we completed a significant upgrade to our pharmacy’s battery backup and power protection systems.

We’d like to sincerely thank all of our customers for their patience and understanding during this work.
This important investment now provides backup power protection for all of our medication refrigerators, including the vaccines and temperature-sensitive medicines that our community relies on every day.

Yesterday, a patient shared a story with me about having an appointment cancelled several years ago because a pharmacy’s fridges lost power and valuable vaccine stock was lost. It was a timely reminder of why these upgrades matter.

We’re proud to say that we have taken proactive steps to greatly reduce that risk. By upgrading our systems, we are strengthening our ability to maintain vaccine integrity, protect critical medicines, and ensure continuity of care for you and our community when unexpected power interruptions occur.
