Opening night for Shrek the Musical!💚

Wishing our friends over at Next Gen Theatre Collective a big CHOOKAS for opening night of their show run🎭

A big shout out to Mali, Eryn and Sav - 3 members of our Luminary family involved in the production both on and off stage📜

We feel so blessed to have watched their efforts behind the scenes, and we can’t wait to see the cast and crew’s hard work unfold in front of our eyes Saturday night🧅

Our team are ready to provide support rooted in person-centred care, advocacy, and innovative solutions across the Albury-Wodonga region and beyond.👥

Our Occupational Therapists work alongside participants of all ages to help engage in the activities that matter most - at home, at school, at work, and in the community. Through building daily living skills, increasing independence, and making everyday activities more achievable, we strive to provide service to those who may be falling through the gaps.

Meet Sav 🎭

Theatre kid, hobby collector, Kindle enthusiast… and someone who’s spent years learning what it means to truly show up for people.

Sav’s path here started in child-centred work, teaching dance, nannying and working as an SLSO at a primary school. It was through that SLSO role, alongside her studies, that she found her way into support work and the NDIS space, and she hasn’t looked back since.

She’s currently working towards her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Ethics/Social Justice at university, with a genuine passion for both. Sav describes herself as a fast learner who’s always willing to try something new, and that curiosity and openness shows up in everything she takes on.

As our Administration Assistant, she brings that same energy to keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes for the team.

Outside of work (and when she’s not at rehearsals or studying), you’ll usually find her doing something crafty. Sav has also been involved in 34 shows over the last 10 years, so if you want a theatre recommendation, she’s your person!

Christmas in July but make it chaotic 🎄🔫

In Luminary style we went to Worlds Beyond for VR escape rooms and an unnecessarily intense Nerf war, then dinner and a round of Mean Santa that got a little savage. 💅🏼

So many laughs, a couple of screams, and one incredible night with this crew 🎁

🧱 Turns out LEGO isn't just LEGO.

In our LEGO® Therapy groups, kids aren't just building spaceships and towers (although, some seriously impressive creations happen). They're building the skills that matter everywhere else too.

Through the group, participants get to practise:
🗣️ Communication
🤝 Teamwork and cooperation
🧩 Problem-solving
🔄 Turn-taking and flexibility
💪 Confidence in social situations

All while working towards something they built together. The skills come home with them too, showing up at school, at home, and out in the community.

Play works. We've just found a very fun way to prove it.
