Let’s get a little vulnerable..

In 2024 I had pushed myself way past my physical limits and my body said enough!

I was hospitalised for 4 days unable to walk.

The doctors had discovered that I had been living with a condition called FND (functional neurological disorder)

It’s a disorder created in the amygdala from experiencing extreme circumstances. Mine was made from a lovely cocktail of childhood trauma mixed with severe sleep deprivation and overworking.

Essentially when my bodies fight or flight is triggered by extreme physical exhaustion the neurological pathways begin to shutdown, triggering a flare up. I’m my case this looked like non epileptic seizures as a child and in adulthood it appears in difficulty walking and talking.

I didn’t know if I was ever going to be able to massage again. It’s what I love and there’s nothing else that could take its place.

So I had to learn a whole new way of living.
I learned how important it was to slow down, to listen to my body and work within its limits.

I implemented that way of living into my business.
I no longer squeeze in as many people as I can in a day. I take it slow, so I can give my clients the full attention and care they deserve.

I believe in calming the mind to relax the body. When our mind is calm it overflows to the rest of our being.

Once we start paying attention to what our bodies are trying to tell us we can totally change our lives around.

I am sharing this with you all so you know that you’re not alone in your struggles. Change can come, you just have to pause for a moment to allow it in.
