What does real inclusion look like for children with disability and how can families make it happen?

CRU’s new face to face workshop, ‘Inclusion as a way of life’ will explore:
- What genuine inclusion looks like and why it matters
- How to identify welcoming people and places in your community
- Practical strategies families have used to build inclusive lives

This workshop is for parents and carers of children with disability (0-18 years). It is fully funded, so free for families.

Happening on 17th June at Eaton’s Hill (Brisbane Northside)

When a child is angry, they express it through their behaviour. They shout and swear, or kick and punch. They may break or throw things, and sometimes people get hurt. It can be scary for everyone.

Parents worry about anger. They worry that this means that they’re getting something wrong, that their child is constantly simmering with rage. Or they worry that this will never change, and that if this behaviour continues into adulthood, there will be serious consequences. The worry makes it harder to deal with the situation right now, because you’re not just managing the furious child, you’re imagining the furious adult as well.

I’m talking about all of this in my webinar next week, Helping Your Autistic Child with Anger.

Monday 8th December 12 pm. It is recorded.
