The agave flower spike is alive with bees. There's a constant hum as they come and go, each one busy with its own job. From a distance it sounds like one continuous buzz but up close it's hundreds of tiny moments happening all at once.
Our bodies evolved surrounded by living ecosystems. The sound of birds, insects, the wind through trees, water moving, changing light, changing seasons. Nature is never silent, but neither is it demanding of our attention.
Even though I don't like gardening much, I always feel better after I've been sitting in the garden with my hands in the dirt.
I wonder if part of feeling "better" is about returning to an environment our nervous system has known for thousands of years.
