Your Body Was Designed to Move… Not Sit.

Think about your average day.

🚗 Sit in the car on the way to work.

💻 Sit at a desk for 8–10 hours.

🍽 Sit for lunch.

🚗 Sit on the way home.

📺 Sit on the lounge at night.

For many people, that’s 10–14 hours a day spent sitting.

The human body wasn’t designed for that.

When we spend long periods sitting, circulation slows, muscles tighten, joints stiffen, and we often feel more tired despite doing very little physical activity.

That’s one reason many people walk out of an infrared sauna feeling refreshed, energised and looser than when they walked in.

During a sauna session:

🔥 Your heart rate increases.

🔥 Blood flow improves.

🔥 Your body starts working to cool itself.

🔥 You get a cardiovascular challenge without pounding your joints.

It’s not a replacement for exercise, but it can be a valuable tool for people who spend most of their day behind a desk, in a vehicle, or working from home.

You don’t need to be an athlete to benefit from recovery.

Sometimes your body simply needs movement, circulation and heat.

And sometimes the best thing you can do is spend 30 minutes investing in yourself.

🔥 WHAT HAPPENS IN THE SAUNA?

Most people think a sauna is just about getting hot and sweating.

But every minute inside an infrared sauna triggers a series of physiological changes that can benefit your body and mind.

⏱ 0–5 Minutes
Your heart rate begins to rise, creating a light cardiovascular effect and increasing circulation.

💧 5–10 Minutes
Sweating increases as your body works to regulate temperature. This is where many people start to feel relaxed and “switch off.”

🩸 10–15 Minutes
Blood flow improves, helping deliver oxygen and nutrients throughout the body while supporting recovery.

🧠 15–20 Minutes
Endorphins are released, promoting relaxation, reducing stress and improving mental clarity.

💪 After Your Session
Many people report feeling calmer, looser, more refreshed and ready to take on the rest of their day.

The real magic isn’t a single session—it’s consistency.

Just like exercise, the benefits build over time.

✅ Better circulation
✅ Improved recovery
✅ Reduced stress
✅ Better sleep
✅ Enhanced wellbeing

Make time for yourself. Your body will thank you.

It’s 5:28am.

I’m driving into town in the dark. Rain on the windscreen. Thick cloud overhead. One of those mornings where you know you’re probably not going to see much sunshine all day.

And if you’re anything like me, a lack of sunshine can make the whole day feel a little heavier.

But here’s the good news.

Just because the sun isn’t out doesn’t mean you have to miss out completely.

When I get to work this morning, I’ll switch on the red light panels and spend some time under the lights before the day gets busy.

Now, red light therapy isn’t a replacement for sunshine, but it can be a great way to support your body when you’re spending more time indoors or the weather keeps you away from natural light.

Research suggests red light therapy may help support:

✔ Recovery and muscle repair
✔ Circulation and cellular energy production
✔ Skin health and collagen production
✔ General wellbeing and relaxation

On a wet, grey day like today, it’s one of my favourite ways to reset, recharge and start the day feeling better.

So if you’re reading this before work, looking out the window at the rain and feeling exactly the same way I was this morning, maybe it’s time to try a session for yourself.

There might not be much sunshine around today…

But there’s still a little light at the end of the tunnel. ☀️🔴

❄️ Cold mornings.
🌧️ Rainy days.
😴 Less motivation.
🦴 More aches and stiffness.

Sound familiar?

When the temperature drops, most people move less, stay indoors more, and start feeling it in their body.

That’s why winter is actually one of the best times of year to use an infrared sauna.

Many members tell us they love:

✅ Warming up properly
✅ Loosening stiff muscles and joints
✅ Taking 30 minutes away from the stress of life
✅ Feeling relaxed before bed

Sometimes the hardest part is walking through the door.

After that, you just sit back, relax and let the heat do the work.

What does “all-cause mortality” actually mean?

You might’ve heard sauna use linked to lower “all-cause mortality” — but most people don’t know what that means.

Put simply, it means your overall risk of dying from any cause during a study period.

A long-term Finnish sauna study followed over 2,300 men for around 20 years and found that regular sauna users had better outcomes.

Compared with sauna once per week:

🔥 2–3 sessions per week was linked with a 24% lower risk
🔥 4–7 sessions per week was linked with a 40% lower risk

The big message?

It’s not about one magic sauna session.

It’s about consistency.

Regular heat exposure supports circulation, heart health, relaxation, recovery, and stress reduction — all things that matter more and more as we get older.

Start simple:

✅ 15–20 minutes
✅ 2–4 times per week
✅ hydrate well
✅ listen to your body

Your future self will thank you.

🔴 WHAT’S ACTUALLY HAPPENING DURING RED LIGHT THERAPY?

Most people think health starts with muscles, skin, joints, or organs.

But it starts much smaller than that…

It starts with your CELLS.

Every part of your body is made up of cells:
✔️ Skin cells
✔️ Muscle cells
✔️ Hair cells
✔️ Blood cells
✔️ Nerve cells
✔️ Joint tissue cells
✔️ Immune cells

Your entire body is essentially trillions of tiny living cells working together every second of every day.

Red Light Therapy works by delivering specific wavelengths of light that are absorbed by structures inside your cells called mitochondria — often referred to as the “powerhouses” of the cell.

Think of mitochondria like tiny rechargeable batteries.

When they absorb red and near-infrared light, they can become more efficient at producing ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) — the energy currency your cells use to perform their jobs.

More cellular energy can mean:
✅ Better recovery
✅ Improved repair processes
✅ Healthier skin
✅ Reduced inflammation
✅ Improved circulation
✅ Support for collagen production
✅ Improved appearance of scars and wrinkles
✅ Support for acne-prone skin
✅ Potential benefits for arthritis, muscle soreness and general wellbeing

The important thing to understand is this:

Red Light Therapy isn’t usually a “one-session miracle.”

It’s more like going to the gym.

One workout won’t transform your body.

One healthy meal won’t transform your health.

One good night’s sleep won’t transform your energy.

But repeat those habits consistently and the results start to add up.

Red Light Therapy works the same way.

Small daily doses. Consistent exposure. Gradual improvements.

Many people compare it to getting the beneficial wavelengths of the early morning sun—without the harsh UV exposure that can damage the skin.

The challenge is that modern life keeps most of us indoors.

We wake up, drive to work, sit under artificial lighting, stare at screens, drive home, and repeat.

Red Light Therapy provides a simple way to give your body exposure to the wavelengths it was designed to utilise, in just 10 minutes a day.

When you look at the image above, don’t just imagine one cell becoming energised.

Imagine that process occurring across millions and millions of cells throughout your body.

Because when healthier cells work together…

Healthier tissues, healthier organs, and a healthier body can follow.

One of our regular recovery members sent this through after consistently using our red light therapy alongside her PT sessions 👇

“Skin, nail & hair health, better sleep, faster recovery after workouts, reduced inflammation, increased energy levels and decreased scarring.”

This is why so many people are now adding red light therapy into their weekly routine — not just for recovery, but for overall wellbeing.

A lot of our members use it multiple times per week after training, before work, or simply to recharge and recover.

Our unlimited Red Light Therapy Membership is only $40 per week and gives members affordable ongoing access without needing to pay casually every visit.

Perfect for:
• Recovery after training
• Muscle soreness & inflammation
• Energy & wellbeing
• Skin health
• Better sleep & recovery
