"What's it REALLY like working at Eli's Place Allied Health?"

We could tell you all about our values, our team culture, and how passionate we are about neurodiversity-affirming practice... but we thought we'd let one of our own do the talking instead. 💛

Tyneele has been part of the Eli's Place team for 3 years, growing from a senior therapist into our Clinical Lead. Watching her confidence, knowledge, and leadership flourish has been one of our greatest privileges.

We're incredibly proud of the supportive, collaborative culture we've created, a place where clinicians are encouraged to learn, ask questions, celebrate wins, and genuinely enjoy coming to work.

Swipe through to hear Tyneele's honest thoughts about:
✨ What a typical day looks like
✨ How she's grown as a clinician
✨ The support she's received
✨ What makes our team culture so special
✨ Her favourite perks of working at Eli's Place

To Tyneele: thank you for sharing your experience so openly, and for everything you bring to our team every single day. We couldn't imagine Eli's Place without you.

If you're an Occupational Therapist or Speech Pathologist looking for a workplace where you'll be supported to grow, valued as both a clinician and a person, and surrounded by an amazing team... we'd love to hear from you!

What does OT placement actually look like?

Spoiler alert... it's so much more than sitting in on sessions.

Our students have been busy:
✂️ Creating therapy resources
📝 Learning the art of clinical notes
📚 Planning sessions
🎨 Gathering materials
🤸 Exploring the sensory gym
🤝 Asking questions, reflecting, and growing every single day

Behind every therapy session is so much learning, creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving. We're so proud to be part of helping shape the next generation of occupational therapists.

Thank you to our amazing students for jumping in with curiosity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn. We've loved having you as part of the Eli's Place Team.

We're extremely excited to share that Meg and Tyneele will be presenting posters at The OT Exchange Conference next week!

As a practice, we're passionate about contributing to the growth of our profession and sharing evidence-informed, neurodiversity-affirming approaches that support children and families to thrive.

Meg and Tyneele will be presenting on topics close to our hearts, including:
✨ Pervasive Drive for Autonomy (PDA) and Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria (RSD) in paediatric occupational therapy
✨ Translating neurodiversity-affirming principles into everyday occupational therapy practice
✨️ Maternal burnout and the occupational therapist role within paediatric therapy
✨️ Trauma informed, neurodiversity affirming practice within paediatric occupational therapy
✨️ Supporting therapists to care for themselves while caring for others.

We're incredibly proud of the work they've put into these projects and can't wait to connect with other occupational therapists, learn from inspiring presenters, and contribute to important conversations shaping the future of our profession.

If you're attending OT Exchange, be sure to stop by and say hello!

You may have seen some new faces around the clinic! We'd love to welcome OT students, Wendy and Olivya. They will be with us for next 9 weeks while they complete their placement.
We're very excited and honoured to be part of their learning journey, and to provide them with real world experience. Thank you so very much to all our wonderful families who have welcomed them into their sessions thus far ❤️

Three years of Tyneele 🌼

It’s hard to put into words just how grateful we are for everything you bring to Eli’s Place. Over the past three years, you have not only been an incredible clinician, but also such a kind, calming, genuine presence for our team and the families we support.

The care, patience, and thoughtfulness you bring into every interaction never goes unnoticed. You have a way of making children feel safe, families feel heard, and your teammates feel supported and that is something truly special.

Thank you for the countless moments of compassion, the laughs, the hard work behind the scenes, and the heart you pour into what you do every single day. We are so lucky to have you as part of the Eli’s Place team and we are endlessly proud of the clinician and person you are.

Happy 3 year work anniversary, Tyneele. We appreciate you more than words can say ❤️

A few weeks ago we said goodbye to someone very special to our Eli’s Place family.

Jacqui, thank you for the care, kindness, patience and dedication you have brought to every child, family and team member you’ve worked alongside. Your warmth, compassion and ability to make people feel safe and supported has left such a meaningful impact on our clinic community.

While we are incredibly sad to see you go, we are so grateful for the time we’ve shared with you and everything you have contributed to Eli’s Place. You will be so deeply missed.

Can you create a caption for an instagram reel celebrating our 5 year anniversary for Eli's Place?

Five years ago, Eli's Place Allied Health was built from a dream to create something different.
A place where children feel safe, families feel supported, and clinicians feel valued.

Over the last 5 years, we’ve had the privilege of being part of so many incredible journeys. From first words, first friendships, hard days, huge wins, and everything in between.

To every family who has trusted us, every child who has let us into their world, and every staff member who has poured their heart into this space… thank you. Truly.

What started as one small clinic has grown into a beautiful community filled with compassion, laughter, advocacy, learning, and so much care. We are endlessly proud of what Eli’s Place has become, and even more excited for what’s ahead. ✨

Here’s to 5 years of supporting children and families and many more to come. 🫶
