The voice can be revealing. Lately my voice has been soft and tender, like my heart. Through the pain of my heart I chant the divine names. Grief offers a window into the deep tenderness of being human. Isn’t that what it means to practice yoga to alchemize and offer it to source šŸŖ”

Chanting to Kṛṣṇa opens the doorway to prema the great source of divine love that is available. Bhakti yoga practices can lead us into the depths of the heart, back to love.

So grateful for the Bhakti yoga practices that hold me.
✨ Bhakti Sessions begin September 6✨
Four sacred festivals. Four invitations into devotion however you arrive, whatever mood you’re carrying.

Bhakti doesn’t ask you to feel a certain way before you show up. It meets you exactly where you are grief, joy, exhaustion, wonder and offers a way through, together, in sound and prayer. Enrol today and join us for the journey. šŸ™

Home after two weeks of beautiful, full-hearted travel through Europe with family and the landing back into the UK has felt like all of me is dissolving. These last couple of days have brought a bus-load of grief, exhaustion, and loss. My voice is tired. My heart is vulnerable.

I sat with some teachings on Lalitā from .rose Katie on Lalitā TripurasundarÄ« ā€œthe beautiful one who reigns over the three worldsā€. She is Śakti itself, the beauty and power moving through everything even through days like these.

After a full Bhakti journey, join me on pilgrimage — through South India. šŸ‡®šŸ‡³

January 9–23, walking the sacred ground of Śiva and Śakti together, in temple and in community.

Every single time I talk about this trip, I get goosebumps and waves of wonder at the prospect of sharing this journey with you.

Sitting with it again, I found myself re-living the whole journey. The soft landing of Chennai. The holy mountain Arunachala rising over Tiruvannamalai. The little cafes and the smell of the cooking class in Pondicherry. The sounds of the temple with the ancient well trodden stones under my feet. The waft of rose and jasmine as you pass the flower stalls and the warm welcome at Chidambaram. The sheer enormity of the temple at Thanjavur. And the embrace of the great mother Meenakshi in Madurai.

If you’d like to join the pilgrimage, I have a few spaces left for those seeking to journey with an open heart.. to wander ancient temple corridors, sit in the presence of the sacred, taste, listen, learn and let this extraordinary land reveal something back to you.

I would love to hear from you! šŸ’•

Life lately…

Grief comes in waves, consuming me some days. I’ve been sorting through my mum’s things reading the letters she wrote to her own mother while travelling with my dad just after they married, hitchhiking through Europe and overland by bus from Turkey into India. Amongst it all, small wonders keep surfacing like a hotel receipt from Rajasthan, 1971.

ā€œThe journey itself is the home.ā€ — Matsuo Bashō

I’ve also been spending precious time just being with family and dear family friends. I’ve felt so grounded by the connection of ā€œhomeā€ a community that knows you as part of a wider family unit. There’s something beautiful and nuanced in the difference between that and building community somewhere new. Both hold their own kind of richness.

I’ve been held in the caring arms of the teachers 🌳 Madara Yoga 🌳 Rooted in Love 🌳 enjoying slow sweet practices to soothe my heart. So grateful for the love held in these walls by Charlotte Gallagher and her team.

I’ve been listening to the birds here a soundscape so different from home in Eurobodalla and spending slow hours in my favourite local cafĆ©s, people watching. Life feels slow right now, held between grief and the blessing of my work, which still brings me so much energy and purpose.

In devotion to life
