We have a growing team of speech pathologists, occupational therapists, and therapy assistants with a wide variety of experience to support children with diverse needs. We work individually with childr

en, with their parents, and with early childhood professionals to accelerate communication skills development in order for them to have more rewarding relationships and fulfilling lives. We also run both term and school holiday group programs for children of different ages and abilities.

Our Junior Scavenger Academy is a four day school holiday adventure where children will explore, investigate and solve exciting mysteries alongside our Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists.

While they're busy having fun, they'll also be building:

Across four exciting afternoons, children will:
⭐️Plant and grow their own creations
⭐️Build magical fairy gardens
⭐️Discover bugs, butterflies and the wonders of nature
⭐️Complete exciting explorer challenges
⭐️Create hands on nature insired crafts
⭐️Learn through play, teamwork and outdoor adventures

Along the way they'll be building communication, confidence, problem solving, planning, fine motor skills and independence, all while having an unforgettable time outdoors.

Over four exciting mornings, children will:
✅️Create their own stop motion movie
✅️Build incredible sets and scenes
✅️Design fun characters

✅️Finish the week with a movie premiere to watch everyone's creations!

Co-regulation isn't about having all the answers.
It's about being there.

When a child is overwhelmed, they don't need us to "fix" their feelings. They need a calm, safe person who helps them work through those big emotions.

Every hug, every reassuring word, every deep breath you take together is helping your child build the skills they'll one day use on their own.

Remember, children borrow our calm before they learn to find their own.

Myth vs Fact: Does AAC stop children from learning to speak?

Myth: Using AAC stops children from learning to speak.
Fact: Research consistently shows that AAC (Augmentative and Alternative
Communication) can support speech and language development.

AAC doesn't replace spoken language. It gives children another way to communicate while speech develops. In fact, reducing frustration and giving children a reliable way to express themselves can encourage more communication, not less.

Every child communicates differently, and AAC is about meeting them where they are and helping them build confidence, connection, and independence.

If you've ever been told that AAC will stop a child from talking, know that the evidence tells us otherwise.
