We came, we baked, we conquered!

What an amazing day! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, staff, participants and everyone who stopped by our Bake It Blue sweet stand, we raised an incredible $254! 🙌

To make it even sweeter, Lowes generously matched our fundraising dollar for dollar, bringing our total donation to a fantastic $508 for Jeans for Genes Day! 💙🎉

Every cupcake, cookie, cheesecake and jelly purchased will help support life-changing medical research for children living with birth defects and genetic diseases. We're so grateful to everyone who baked, donated, volunteered and, of course, treated themselves to something delicious.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us bake a difference. 💙

PERFECT ROUND! WHO'D HAVE THOUGHT IT'D BE A POLLIE?
This week Andrew Powell MP landed a perfect round, snaring the bonus point and charging back into equal first with Jeff from James Giles Plumbing Pty Ltd on 109 points
Hot on their heels are Carolyn and Jamie from Tarampa Assist, sitting just two points back on 107.
Meanwhile... we'd like to extend our thoughts and prayers to our own Sharon from The Sentinel News after producing a spectacular 2-point round. That's right... TWO! Thankfully, her beloved Eels scraped home in the final game to save her from complete heartbreak.
Around the grounds, the Roosters ran riot with an 82-point demolition of the Cowboys, while both the Broncos and Storm lost at home, meaning last year's grand finalists are set to miss the top eight. Who saw that coming?
And here's a stat for the footy tragics: Nicho Hynes has now kicked 32 goals in a row. Four more and he'll equal Hazem El Masri's famous 2003 record.
With just five rounds to go, every tip counts!
Round 23 kicks off Thursday night with the Titans hosting the Cowboys at the Gold Coast, so make sure you log into your NRL account to do your tips.

Hi Tipsters,
We have an outright leader! Congratulations to Jeff from James Giles Plumbing Pty Ltd who is out in front by 2 points this week on 102 points!
We then have a 4-way tie for second, Andrew Powell MP, Pete from Pristine Concrete our very own Sharon King from The Sentinel News and Carolyn and her client Jamie from Tarampa Assist all sitting on 100 points.
The Broncos and Storm lost their must-win games essentially ending any chances of playing finals footy. The Raiders and Bulldogs are still nipping at the heels of the top 8. With six weeks to go, there’s still a lot that can change.
Round 22 kicks off Thursday night with the Cowboys hosting the Roosters in Townsville, so make sure you log into your NRL account and do your tips!

What an incredible day at the Somerset Rail Trail Classic!🏃‍♀️🚴‍♂️

We were proud to be involved in such a fantastic community event and loved seeing so many runners, riders and supporters come together to make the day such a success.

A huge congratulations to everyone who participated, volunteered and helped organise the event. With record numbers and perfect weather, it was amazing to see the Rail Trail buzzing with energy and community spirit.

Hi Tipsters,
A couple of upsets scuppered the chances of a perfect round for a lot of you. We had plenty of six's, some fives and the occasional four, which sums up the week that was.
The Bulldogs' golden point win over the Sea Eagles was one of those heartbreakers. Although the Panthers loss to the Titans - only their second of the season - was the big one.
Nobody here gave the Titans a chance (for good reason)!
The leaderboard is as follows:
Pete from Pristine Concrete still holds onto outright first place after tipping six. Jeff from James Giles Plumbing Pty Ltd is close behind in outright second - also with six picks. Pollie Andrew Powell MP follows one point behind in outright third with a shout-out to Carolyn and her client Jamie from Tarampa Assist who are creeping up the ladder and have jumped into outright fourth!
Well done to everyone who tipped with their heads and heart and backed Queensland to force a decider at Suncorp. That includes all of our pollies! Only four of you backed NSW, which was a bit unfortunate (for you).
NSW has always reminded me of the English cricket team. They prance around like they're humanity's gift to sport, are good for a win every now and then, but ultimately have the ticker of the Tin Man.
Matches of note this week: Can the Broncos find their mojo against the Roosters at Suncorp on Friday night? Good question .. dunno.
While the Dolphins (3rd) have the perfect opportunity to underline their grand final credentials when they take on the Warriors (2nd), also at Suncorp, on Saturday afternoon.
And the Cowboys (9th) v Panthers (1st)? You probably already know the answer to that one.
