🧠 Brain & Body Connection- The "Tapping Game"

One of the simple assessments I use during a kinesiology session is what I call the "tapping game."

You might be asked to touch your opposite hand to your opposite knee or leg while your brain recognises the movement. It seems simple, but it gives us valuable information about how well the left and right sides of the brain are communicating with the body.

When the brain and body are communicating efficiently, these cross-body movements feel coordinated and automatic. If there's stress on the nervous system, physical tension, emotional stress, injury, or overload, that communication can become less efficient.

During your session, kinesiology helps identify where that communication may need support, while Bowen Therapy provides gentle input to the nervous system, encouraging the body to relax, reset, and restore balance.

Together, they work to improve the conversation between your brain and body, allowing your nervous system to move out of "survival mode" and into a state where healing, coordination, and optimal function can occur more easily.

Think of it like this: your brain is the computer, your body is the hardware, and your nervous system is the internet connection between them. When the connection is strong, everything works together more smoothly. Sometimes the signal just needs a gentle reset.

A little announcement... and yes, I know my timing could be better!

From tomorrow (1st July) there will be a small increase to my treatment prices.

I've held my prices for the past year, but like everything else, the costs of running a small business continue to rise. This small adjustment allows me to continue providing the care, time and support that I love offering each of you.

Thank you for your understanding and for supporting my little local business. Whether you've been coming for years or have only recently found Vital Therapy, I truly appreciate every appointment, every referral and every kind word.

Now that I've finally remembered to post this... I'll go back to reminding you not to forget to drink your water! 😉
