This teaching period I’ve been learning about learning, thinking about thinking, and reflecting on reflecting.

One of the ideas I’ve loved most is social constructivism - that learning doesn’t happen in isolation. We build meaning through conversations, experiences, other people’s perspectives, and by connecting new ideas to what we already know.

At work we talk about the relationship between care and accountability. It made me wonder what that same relationship might look like internally.

So I created The Self-Trust Model.

These aren’t fixed personality types - they’re patterns we can move between depending on the situation.

And this is probably a pretty good example of what you can expect to see more of here.

WEAVE is where I take the threads of behaviour, neuroscience, identity, nervous system regulation and lived experience - and turn them into something useful.

For the deep thinkers who want to understand why.
And for the big feelers who want to actually live differently.

Have a swipe through and tell me: where do you find yourself most often?

And a shameless sister plug 😂
If accountability is the lever you’re missing, Leigh Delfsma has created a coaching container built around helping people turn intention into action.

You know that feeling when you’re working something out?

When you’re trying to recall.
Calculate.
Look for something - either physically or in your mind.
When you’ve discovered a new concept and it’s just starting to land.

Have you ever considered that this process is productive intellectual struggle - the effort involved in working something out for yourself?

That the effort itself is doing something?

“Ease is a greater threat to progress than hardship.” — Denzel Washington

If every difficult task has an immediate shortcut,
every uncertainty has an instant answer,
every boredom can be filled,
every discomfort can be escaped,
and every decision can be outsourced,
we may gradually weaken our tolerance for the very conditions human development depends on.

A society that repeatedly chooses the path of least resistance may become more efficient.

But what are we trading for all this ease?

This Saturday’s Stillness is going to be a special one.

Experiencing this has reminded me so much of what I’ve learnt and what I teach.

Bringing it back into my own body.
Not just theory.
Not just something I know.
As something I had to practise in real time.

Choosing presence.
Choosing safety.
Choosing the breath.

That’s what I’ll be bringing into the room on Saturday.

A Course in Miracles was scribed by Helen Schucman, an American clinical psychologist, between 1965 and 1972.

William James discussed nervous-system plasticity in 1890; Jerzy Konorski introduced the term “neural plasticity” in 1948, and Donald Hebb helped popularise the underlying learning theory in 1949.

Some may see these as opposing—or entirely unrelated—explanations.

Perhaps they are different languages pointing us towards the same possibility:

that we are far more capable than we realise.

And maybe this life is that simple.

Imagine we have overcomplicated it that much.
Imagine that it’s right within our reach.
That our innate power and abilities have been there all along.
Imagine.

Some of us know this.

But knowing something is possible
is different from truly believing it.

And believing it is different again
from practising it.

Sometimes I consciously notice the pattern and choose differently.

Other times, it’s a slow, unconscious unfolding.

Either way, something within us eventually shifts—
just enough for us to take the next step.

To me, miracles and neuroplasticity offer the same thing:

Hope.

Every time we thought we'd made the wrong move.

Chosen too quickly.
Waited too long.
Walked away.
Started over.

The thread never let go.

Your thread always remains.
It's waiting to be recognised.

Welcome to WEAVE.

I used to say being close to death was the closest I’ve felt to being alive
But this night changed that

This night
Tears of gratitude
Waves of goosebumps

Once again
Witnessing the human spirit
Witnessing the power of emotion
Witnessing the power of the breath
Witnessing grace in action

Bringing me back to my word of the year —

Grace is a state of being,
A flow of energy,
And a deep connection to the divine,
universal consciousness.

“Grace is the voice that calls us to transform,
And then gives us the power to pull it off.”
— Max Lucado

Breathwork is the power to transform

THANK YOU from for having me along, you created such a beautiful event!

“We live in these very unprecedented times.
This is a mad world, and the pace at which we're moving all this information that's coming in, everything that's happening, it's just an overwhelming time to be alive.

These are not simple times, and it can be very confusing because we start to get desensitised because there's so much information.
What can you trust?

You can't trust your eyes anymore.
You can't trust what you hear, what you see.
What is the truth?

The crazier it gets out in the world, it's an invitation for you to go inward to hear your truth, because the only thing you're ever really going to be able to trust is that intuition within you.

Be discerning enough to know what your code and your values are.
To become more stable and trust the whispers, trust the intuition, trust your heart.

This is that moment to let go of anything that is getting in the way of you learning how to hear yourself.
That means no longer doing things that are against your integrity.”
