What happens during a spinal decompression session? 🤔

Spinal decompression is very relaxing so most people drift off to sleep while the decompression table goes to work… 😴

“Some people” though… 👨🏽‍⚕️ try to work out how to fix certain faults in their sporting endeavours…

Spinal back pain is not normal… it is common, but not normal! 👇🏽😊

Back pain is not normal! It is common but it’s not normal… The pain is not the issue though, it’s what it’s stopping you from doing is the real issue…

Back stiffness and pain is common as the years go by due to previous disc injuries, occupational physical stresses, sedentary lifestyle etc.. This is often due to the spinal discs becoming dehydrated (desiccated), whereby they become stiff, lose height and the ability to absorb shock and load.

Spinal decompression is one of most effective therapies in rehydrating spinal discs. A hydrated spine is a healthy spine! 😊

Why does spinal decompression work so well? 👇🏽😊

Why does spinal decompression work so well?

In short… it helps the spinal discs to rehydrate by drawing in healing fluids which brings vital oxygen and nutrients into the discs to allow the discs to heal and regenerate!

When a spinal disc becomes dehydrated it loses height, flexibility and ability to absorb shock and load. This often results in ongoing pain and stiffness. When the spine becomes stiff, it lacks the vital segmental motion required to create a pumping action called imbibition. Imbibition is the process that enables discs stay hydrated.

Our Hill DT Spinal decompression tables gently stretch the spinal structures allowing vital segmental motion to be restored and allows the imbibition process to rehydrate the spinal discs. A hydrated disc is a healthy disc! 😊

First time doing the Mackay Marina Run. Very impressed with the organisation of the whole event! Just the 5k walk for Dr Brad and Oriana this year. Definitely considering running next year and entering a team for the corporate 5k.

Well done to Katrina for running the 10km race!

Thank you to the event photographers for these amazing photos! 😊
