The Maffra Men's Shed Maffra Men's Shed commenced operating in January 2018.

We are a totally voluntary, community based, not for profit group who strive to provide a secure meeting place for our members to enable them to take part in a wide range of shed activities.

šŸ“āœØ Riding a horse brings you a little closer to heavenā€¦ Getting bucked off does the same thing! šŸ˜‚šŸŒ¤ļø

Thereā€™s nothing quite like life in the saddle. ā¤ļø One minute, youā€™re riding peacefully into the sunset, feeling the breeze on your face and thinking, ā€œYepā€¦ this is exactly where Iā€™m meant to be.ā€ šŸŒ…šŸŽ

Then your horse spots a suspicious-looking leaf. šŸ‚šŸ‘€

And suddenlyā€¦ youā€™re discovering whether humans really can fly. šŸ¤ šŸ’ØšŸ˜‚

Horse people know the deal: riding is equal parts freedom, friendship, adventure, patience, dirt, determination, and the occasional unexpected meeting with the ground. šŸ˜…šŸŒ¾

But somehow, we keep climbing right back into that saddle. Why? Because the incredible moments make every dusty pair of jeans, sore muscle, muddy boot, and surprise dismount completely worth it. šŸ„°šŸ“

Horses teach us to stay humble, laugh at ourselves, trust the journey, and hold on when life gets a little wild. ā¤ļø

So hereā€™s to beautiful rides, unforgettable horses, spectacular sunsetsā€¦ and hopefully keeping both boots in the stirrups! šŸ¤ šŸ™Œ

On the evening of 29th July 2026, the Maffra Men's Shed will be fundraising at the Maffra Community Sports Club. We would encourage supporters to come have a meal at the Sports Club and support the Men's Shed

Our Statement of Purpose
The Maffra Menā€™s Shed is a totally voluntary, community-based, not-for-profit and non-commercial organization that is accessible to people of all ages living in the surrounding area.
Our primary objective is to advance the health and wellbeing of our members and to encourage social inclusion and the prevention of social isolation. We aim to achieve this via the provision of a safe, friendly and welcoming facility where people are able to work with tools and equipment and can participate in meaningful projects and activities at their own pace, in a relaxed environment and in the company of other people.

The Maffra Men's Shed wishes everyone a very Happy Easter.

If you are travelling please stay safe on the roads and look out for the Driver Reviver stations if you need a rest.

For everyone working, please take some time to rest and relax as well. Remember to be kind to anyone working this weekend.

And lastly don't eat too much chocolate if the Easter Bunny hops into your yard!
