Did you know watery eyes can actually be a sign of dry eyes?
This might sound confusing but it’s true.

When your eyes are too dry or irritated, they can overreact by producing extra tears.

The problem is that these extra tears are often not the right type to properly moisturise your eyes.

So instead of fixing the dryness, your eyes can end up feeling watery and uncomfortable.

Speak to one of our optometrists to find out the best way to help!

Have you heard the term Macular Degeneration?
Macular degeneration is an eye condition that affects central vision, the sharp part of your sight used for recognising faces, seeing fine details, and reading. As it progresses, this central vision can become blurry or distorted vision, especially with age.
If you have started noticing fuzzy vision or that lines are wavy book in to see one of our optometrists to investigate further

Did You Know?
Your eyes work like a camera. They capture light and turn it into signals.
Those signals then travel through the optic nerve to your brain.
Your brain acts like an editor, interpreter, and screen all in one, processing the signals, decoding them, and creating the image you experience as “seeing.”
So what you see is actually a combined effort of your eyes and brain.

Migraines aren’t just headaches.
They’re a neurological condition.
Seeing flickering lights, sparkles, or zigzag lines?
You might be experiencing a visual aura.
These are temporary visual changes that can last 10–30 minutes before a migraine attack.
Migraine symptoms can also include:
• Nausea
• Sensitivity to light

Some people even experience aura without the headache.
Have migraines but haven’t had an eye check?
Let our optometrists know so we can help with a comprehensive eye exam.
