What if you don’t need to heal today? What if you just need to get over yourself a little? šŸ˜‚

This one is very much for me today… maybe you need it too.

Caught myself hooking onto the parts of me that still aren’t ā€˜healed’ & thinking I must do MORE work to fix them

How bloody exhausting!

So maybe I don’t need to analyse it today, maybe I need to get out of my own head, stop making myself a project and go live my bloody life.

My s**t still matters. The work still matters.

But today? I think I just need to get over myself a little šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø

Your people. Fresh air. A walk. A quiet moment.

All little ways to reconnect with what matters most & become grounded.

You don’t have to fix everything.
Sometimes you just need to find your feet again.

Maybe finding your people isn’t really about finding them at all.

Maybe it’s showing up. Again and again.
Having the little conversations. Remembering the things. Letting yourself be known.

And somewhere along the way, the people you once just knew… become your people.

Connection takes time. Give it the chance to grow.

I don’t think we talk enough about how much the people around us shape our lives.

The people we call when something goes wrong.
The ones we send the completely pointless voice message to.
The ones who celebrate the good stuff without making it weird.
Who notice when we’re not quite ourselves.
Who make us laugh when we desperately need it.

I think I used to put a lot of value on being fiercely independent. On being capable. On being able to handle my own s**t.

And I still value that.

But the older I get, the more I realise a good life isn’t just about what we build for ourselves.

It’s also about who we get to share it with.

Choose good people.
Be a good person to have in someone else’s corner.

And hold your people bloody close. šŸ¤

When life feels heavy, pulling away can feel easier. But connection doesn’t have to mean telling everyone everything.

Sometimes it’s just letting one safe person know, ā€˜I’m not doing so great today’

You don’t always need fixing. Sometimes you just need someone beside you. And if you’re feeling like you could use a little more support, counselling can be a really good place to start.

Courage doesn’t always look brave from the outside.

Sometimes it’s quiet, uncomfortable and lonely.

Sometimes courage looks like asking for support to help you own your power & recognise your self worth.

If that’s where you’re at, I offer online counselling and career coaching. Send me a DM or book via the link in my bio. šŸ¤Ž

I’m very good at doing.

Resting without mentally listing all the things I SHOULD be doing? Still working on that!

I’m learning that slowing down isn’t something you just decide to do. Especially when busy, productive and achieving has been your normal for a really long time.

Sometimes it’s catching that voice that says you should be doing more and gently answering back…

Not today. It can wait.

For years I thought I was just really good at reading people.

Turns out, I was really good at reading the room.

I could tell when someone was upset before they’d said a word. And if they were, I’d somehow make it my job to fix it.

I’d replay conversations, wonder if I’d said the wrong thing and carry other people’s emotions around like they were my own.

Looking back, I don’t think I was born that way.

I think I learnt that paying close attention to everyone else helped me feel safe.

The problem is, you can get so good at reading everyone else that you stop noticing yourself.

Maybe that’s your reminder today.

You don’t have to carry the mood of every room you walk into.

Little July recap… better late than never šŸ
Other than not loving the colder days of winter, July was actually pretty wonderful.

I’m learning to embrace the journey instead of always chasing the next goal, milestone or outcome.

I’m not there yet, but I’m living the learning.

This season has taught me so much about business, confidence, boundaries, family and myself. And while there have been some hard days, there have also been so many moments that made me stop and think, this is a pretty good life.

Here’s to August.

Jokes aside… there really is something special about animals.

They have a way of slowing us down, lifting our mood and reminding us to be present.

Maybe we could all use a little more animal therapy. šŸ¶šŸ¤
