Incursion Spotlight | Tilly’s Childcare Centre ✨

Recently we visited Tilly’s Childcare Centre, where children created their own nature wands using gathered sticks, colourful fibres, fresh flowers and natural treasures. They also shaped beautiful air-dry clay trinket bowls, decorating them with pressed botanicals.

These open-ended experiences encourage creativity, strengthen fine motor skills, inspire imaginative play and invite children to slow down, explore and create with confidence. No two creations were the same, and that’s exactly how we like it.

Whether you’re a preschool, school or vacation care service or community group, we’d love to bring a hands-on art, craft or sensory play experience to your community.

It’s not too late to join us for Youth Art! 🎨

If your child loves to create (or simply needs a creative outlet after a busy school day), we’d love to welcome them to our Youth Art program.

Designed for primary and high school students, our weekly classes provide the time and space for young artists to slow down, experiment and build their skills. Each term we explore a different artistic focus, with projects that encourage both creativity and technical development.

This term’s focus is Hidden Worlds through printmaking and textiles. Students will experiment with a range of printmaking techniques, learning how to design, layer and create original prints inspired by the natural world.

Art after school offers so much more than making something beautiful. It gives children and teenagers the opportunity to:
🎨 unwind and recharge after a busy school day
🎨 build confidence through creative problem-solving
🎨 develop patience, perseverance and fine motor skills
🎨 express their ideas in a supportive environment
🎨 connect with other young artists who share their interests

Class options:
• Tuesday: 3:30–4:45pm (75 mins), 3:30–5:30pm (120 mins) or 4:45–6:00pm (75 mins)
• Wednesday: 4:45–6:00pm (75 mins)
• Friday: Currently full

There are still places available in our Tuesday and Wednesday classes, so it’s not too late to join us this term.

A new week of creativity, connection and hands-on learning awaits at Nature & Nurture! 🌿✨

From messy outdoor play and sensory experiences to Youth Art classes, homeschool sessions, Nesting Circle and birthday parties, there’s something happening almost every day of the week.

Whether your child loves painting, creating, exploring nature or making new friends, we’d love to welcome you.

We’re so fortunate to have the expertise of Elston & Lonnie guiding us through this beautiful crochet workshop! Whether you’ve always wanted to learn to crochet or you’d like to refresh your skills, this relaxed, welcoming evening is the perfect place to start.

Crochet is more than just creating something beautiful. It’s a mindful, creative practice that encourages relaxation, improves fine motor skills and coordination, and offers a wonderful opportunity to slow down, connect with others and enjoy making something with your own hands.

A gentle space to connect, share and grow. 🤍

The early months of parenthood can feel both beautiful and overwhelming. Our Nesting Circle is a welcoming weekly group designed for parents with babies (pre-walkers) to slow down, connect with others and enjoy quality time together.

Each session includes tummy time and developmental play ideas, a warm cup of tea, meaningful conversation and a relaxed environment where both you and your little one are supported.

To thank you for being part of our community, we’re giving away 5 FREE playgroup passes every week to families currently enrolled in either GymbaROO Maitland & Branxton or Nature & Nurture for the whole term.

Choose from:
🌿 Outdoor Art Playgroup – Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9:30–11:00am at the beautiful Leaves & Fishes Secret Garden, Lovedale. Perfect for walking toddlers to 5 years, with process art, nature play and outdoor exploration.

👶 Nesting Circle – Fridays, 10:00–11:00am at our Maitland studio. A calm, welcoming space for babies who aren’t walking yet, with sensory play, connection and support for parents.

✨ Here’s how it works:
From 9am every Monday, text 0403 390 227 with:
• Which playgroup you’d like to attend
• Your child’s name and age
• Parent/Carer’s Name

Passes are first in, best dressed, with only 5 free places available each week. You cannot turn up at a playgroup without booking via our website or applying for a free pass and having it confirmed in order to keep our playgroups safe and adequately resourced.
